(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Tianjin went out to hang banners on the eve of Falun Dafa Day, May 13. Thirteen practitioners were arrested, and twelve are still detained.

On May 12, the 13 practitioners, from the Beichen and Wuqing Districts, drove to villages in Wuqing to hang banners to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. They also hung posters to inform residents of the worldwide efforts to bring former dictator Jiang Zemin to justice.

Several of the practitioners' cell phones had been tapped by police, which allowed the police to know their plans and movements. The two cars they drove were also seized. Those arrested include Mr. Fang Keshan and his wife Ms. Zhang Shulan, Mr. Xu Siliang and his wife Ms. Wang Jingfen, Mr. Li Jianchun, Mr. Wang Hui, Mr. Lan Deman, Ms. Yuan Xiuqing, Ms. Wang Fengping, Mr. Hou Huilin, Mr. Yang Tinglian, Ms. Niu Yueqing, and Mr. Zhang Yuzhu.

As of the afternoon of May 19, 2016, twelve practitioners were still detained. Mr. Zhang Yuzhu developed symptoms of heart disease and was released after his family posted a 5,000-yuan bond.

Practitioners Mr. Xu Siliang, his wife Ms. Wang Jingfen, Mr. Li Jianchun, Ms. Yuan Xiuqing, Mr. Yang Tinglian, Mr. Lan Deman, Ms. Niu Yueqing are now being held in the Wuqing Detention Center. Mr. Hou Huilin and Ms. Wang Fengping are held in the Baochi Detention Center. Mr. Fang Keshan, his wife Ms. Zhang Shulan and Mr. Wang Hui were taken to the Nankai Police Department. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

The homes of Mr. Fang Keshan, Mr. Zhang Yuzhu, and Mr. Li Jianchun were ransacked. The police seized computers, printers, Dafa books, and cell phones.
