(Minghui.org) I grew up in a remote village in the Northwest region of China.After the persecution began in 1999, I travel over 1,000 miles every year to return to the village to help people understand what Falun Gong really is.
With my help, the village officials have stopped participating in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, and some have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I went to the village office one year to explain to everybody that Falun Gong practitioners were good people, and that it was wrong to persecute good people. I talked about the evil nature of the CCP, and told them that the CCP has killed more than 80 million Chinese since it took control of China.
I told them that Falun Gong has been spread worldwide, but is only banned in China. After listening intently and asking some questions, one of them said that they did not want to persecute Falun Gong, but had no choice since their supervisory agencies made it mandatory.
We later compared the village's working teams with Falun Gong practitioners to those without, and they agreed that the teams with Falun Gong practitioners were by far the best.
Soon after, the entire village leadership team stopped harassing and arresting Falun Gong practitioners.
Village CCP Secretary Quits CCP
The village leadership team changed a few years later, and the new team began to persecute Falun Gong practitioners again. Both my sister and brother, who are also Falun Gong practitioners, were arrested and given two-year forced labor terms. My mother passed away soon after they were arrested.
I decided to return to talk to the new village CCP party secretary.
I went directly to his house and said that I had traveled over 1,000 miles to meet him, and to tell him why he should not participate in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
I shared with him my personal experience that after practicing Falun Gong, I had become very healthy. We talked for about two hours.
In the end, he said to me, “Everyone in our village regards your family highly. I know you must be the person who anonymously donated 10,000 Yuan to build roads for our village.”
I told him that since I did not need to take any medication as I used to before practicing Falun Gong, I donated the money I saved to help our village. He was moved and very grateful.
I explained to him and his wife why they should quit the CCP, and they happily agreed to do so. I mailed them some reading material and DVDs so that they could learn more about the persecution after I returned to the city. After that, the village CCP secretary no longer participates in the persecution.
