Additional Persecution News from China – February 6, 2016 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Li Yuanlin Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Li Yuanlin from the Heilongjiang Province is a taxi driver in the Huairou District, Beijing. He was arrested in May 2015 for writing “Falun Dafa is Good” on walls in the Yanxi Development Zone, Huairou. He was first held in the Huairou District Detention Center, and then given a four year prison sentence in November 2015.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ren Yanzhen Arrested

A dozen officers from the Shijiazhuang City Police Department, Jingxing County Police Department, County Domestic Security Division, and Tianchang Town ransacked Ms. Ren Yanzhen's home on the night of February 2, 2016. They confiscated Falun Gong books and other Falun Gong informational materials. Ms. Ren was arrested.

3. [Zunhua, Hebei Province] Status of Ms. Zhi Haihua and Ms. Wu Limei

Ms. Zhi Haihua and Ms. Wu Limei were arrested on January 29, 2016 by police officers from the Dangyu Police Station police.

Police forcefully took a blood sample. Dong Guofeng, director of the Domestic Security Division, beat her. Ms. Zhi was then taken to a detention center. She did not eat, had headaches and felt nauseous in the first three days.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ren Xiuqin Imprisoned

Ms. Ren Xiuqin of Hushitai Town, Shenbei New District, Shenyang was imprisoned in the Shenyang Prison on January 5, 2016. Family visits are denied.

5. [Pengxi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Xiufang and Ms. Huang Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Chen Xiufang, 50, and Ms. Huang Xiuzhen, 57, are from Pengxi County, Suining City. Police arrested them on the morning of January 8, 2016, and ransacked their homes. They are held in the Yongxing Detention Center, Suining City.

6. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Fei Arrested

Ms. Yang Fei of Acheng District, Harbin, was arrested by police officers from the Chaoyang Police Station, Xiangfang District, Harbin, for speaking up for Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 4, 2016. Her family was only told that she was detained when they went to the police station and asked for her whereabouts.

7. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yingtong's Appeal Denied

Ms. Zhang Yingtong from Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang, was given a four year sentence on September 14, 2015 after she had been detained for almost two years. She appealed. The Shijiazhuang Middle Court affirmed the sentence. She was imprisoned in the Jidong Fifth Prison on January 29, 2016.
