(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cao Zhiyong Given Criminal Detention

Mr. Cao Zhiyong was arrested by criminal police officers when on his way to Yi County on the afternoon of November 17, 2016. He was placed under criminal detention in the Kazuo Detention Center.

2. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yan Chongxi Arrested Again

Ms. Yan Chongxi from Cangtai Village, Wanyu Town, Huarong County, was arrested by officers from the Huarong County Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of November 14, 2016.

Ms. Yan had previously been arrested on December 29, 2015, and detained for 41 days in the Yunxi Detention Center. She became emaciated and had not recovered by this November when she was arrested again.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Jinan Prison

Ms. Sun Jianchun, Ms. Li Zuping, and Ms. San Chunwei were taken to the Jinan Prison on the afternoon of November 17, 2016. The three practitioners had been held in the Weifang Detention Center for 11 months.

4. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Shangying, Ms. Li Xiongying, Ms. Hu Yulan, and Ms. Li Yihui were arrested and taken to the Xintian County Police Department on November 4, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Xintian County, Yongzhou City. They were interrogated. Ms. Hu was released that evening.

The other three practitioners were detained in a lockup center for 15 days of detention. Their families were forced to pay 300 yuan each for their meal expenses.

During their detention, Ms. Li Xiongying was taken away and her whereabouts are unknown.

After 15 days Ms. Li Yihui was released and Ms. Li Shangying was transferred to a detention center.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Su Xiurong and Ms. Liu Fengxia Arrested

Ms. Su Xiurong from Raolefu Village, Fangshan District, was arrested by officers from the Fangshan District 610 Office on November 17, 2016.

Ms. Su's aunt Ms. Liu Fengxia was arrested on the morning of November 10, 2016.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Huimin Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhang Huimin, from Xinandao Village, Bangjun Town, Ji County, was given a three-year prison term and taken to the Tianjin Women's Prison on October 12, 2016.

She was arrested by officers from the Ji County Domestic Security Division and the Bangjun Town Police Station on October 25, 2015, and taken to the Qilifeng Detention Center.

7. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Xiuying Detained

Ms. Sun Xiuying, from Xiaoguozhai Village, Qingshui Town, Guan County, went to the Beitao Town Police Station on November 17, 2016, to ask for the release of her husband and the return of her car. She was arrested instead. She is being held in the Liaocheng Detention Center.

The police arrested Ms. Sun's husband and confiscated their car in April 2016. Her husband was taken to the Guan County Detention Center.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Xianghong Detained

Ms. Sun Xianghong was recently arrested at the Zhongshan District Court by officers from the Renmin Road Police Station. She is being held in the Jinnan Road Drug Rehabilitation Center.

9. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Deng Chao Arrested

Mr. Deng Chao was arrested by officers from the Gaolian Police Department on June 29, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong materials in Xinglongtai District.

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cui Shifang Detained

Ms. Cui Shifang from Fengshou Village, Qingling Town, Jiaohe City, was arrested by officers from the Qingling Town Police Station on November 14, 2016, for handing out desktop calendars containing information about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, materials, and calendars. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

11. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Dongying, Mr. Zhan Guanrong, and Mr. Gu Xuexin were reported on November 11, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong in Dayu Town, Rudong County, Jiangsu Province.

The three practitioners were arrested by officers from the Rudong County Police Department and the 610 Office on the morning of November 18, 2016. They were taken to the Youyi Road Police Station in the Baoshan District, where they were interrogated. Ms. Wang was then taken to the Rudong County Police Department. No further information on her current situation is available. Mr. Gu was released on bail that evening.

12. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiu Detained

Ms. Li Xiu was arrested by officers from the Fuan Police Station on November 2, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Zhengjiaxiaozhuang Village Farmers Market. She is being held in the Pudong Detention City in Qingdao City.

13. [Xinye County, Henan Province] Ms. Tao Gaiyun Detained

Ms. Tao Gaiyun was arrested by police at the Nanyang City Train Station when on her way to visit her daughter in Beijing in October 2016. She is being held in the Nanyang City Prison.

14. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinxiu Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Chen Jinxiu, 59, from Jiayu County was secretly sentenced to three years in prison on October 26, 2016. She was taken to the Hubei Women's Prison.

15. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiu Min Detained

Ms. Xiu Min from Wuji County was recently arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Department, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Wuji County Detention Center.

16. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Ren Taizhong and Ms. Zhou Arrested

Mr. Ren Taizhong and Ms. Zhou from Xi County were recently arrested for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhou has been tried.

17. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Lichun and Ms. Miao Shuying Detained

Ms. Yang Lichun and Ms. Miao Shuying were arrested by officers from the Dongjie Police Station on November 17, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners are being held in the Huludao Detention Center.

18. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Liping Detained

Ms. Zhang Liping and two fellow practitioners from Yu County were arrested in Guangling County on November 18, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang was taken into custody, and the other two practitioners have returned home.

19. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuxiang Detained

Ms. Wang Yuxiang was arrested on November 9, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Siping City Detention Center.

20. [Chongqing] Ms. Tu Guixun Arrested

Ms. Tu Guixun, who is blind, from Yunyang County, was arrested on November 1, 2016, at home by Zhou Jiaquan, director of the Qinglong Residential Community, officers from the Yunyang County Domestic Security Division, and the Qinglong Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the police station and interrogated. Ms. Tu refused to sign the interrogation records nor the list of confiscated items. She was taken home at 11:00 p.m. that night.
