(Minghui.org) Police in Dongliao County raided seven local families around 4:00 a.m. on September 28 and arrested eleven residents.
These households were targeted because they have family members who practice Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
According to arresting officers, the police had monitored the practitioners for three months before launching the raid.
Three of the arrested were released later in the day after the police confirmed that they do not practice Falun Gong. They are Zhai Shurong, Zhang Jizhong, and Bao Qingrong.
Li Yonghui, Zhang Chunlan, Jin Guanghao (Zhai’s husband), Yang Shuju (Zhang Jizhong’s wife), Han Jiansi and his wife Su Yuxiang, Zhou Gang and his wife Zhang Wanrong remain detained at the time of writing.
Only Ms. Su’s son was allowed to see her, while the rest of the practitioners have been denied family visits.
