(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 14 were illegally arrested, and the whereabouts of 4 are unknown.

Mr. Zhu Chengqian, from Datan Township, Pulandian, Dalian City, is detained in the No. 1 Ward in the Liaoning Province No. 1 Prison for “transformation.” He went on hunger strikes to protest the persecution. He was brutally force-fed and is in critical condition.

Mr. Zhang Zhaosen, a teacher at the Hubei University of Arts and Science, was arrested on May 15, 2015. He was secretly sentenced to seven years in prison and is detained in Xiangnan Prison.

Ms. Sheng Lianying was arrested on August 10, 2015. She was sentenced on December 24, 2015 to three-and-a-half years in prison by the Ganjingzi District Court. She has appealed.

4. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Congyuan and Mr. Deng Deyu Sentenced to Prison

The Guang'an City Intermediate Court recently sentenced Ms. Zhang Congyuan to three years in prison and Mr. Deng Deyu to one-and-a-half years. Both practitioners were transferred to the prison.

Mr. Yuan Chengzhang, 62, was arrested on December 23, 2015 by officers from the Mengzhou County Police Department, Jiaozuo City. He is held in the Mengzhou County Detention Center.

6. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xiaofang and Ms. He Junhua Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Li Xiaofang and Ms. He Junhua were arrested for posting Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of January 2, 2016. Their whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Guizhi Detained

Officers from the Xinjianglu Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Guizhi's home on December 7, 2015 and arrested her. She was taken to a detention center. Ms. Zhang appeared to be ill on December 13. She was transferred to the No. 2 Affiliated Hospital at the Qiqihar Medical University. She was released.

8. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Xianfeng Detained

Ms. Jiang Xianfeng was arrested on December 24, 2015 by officers from the Dadukou Police Station for distributing Falun Gong informational brochures in Panzhihua City. She was taken to the Panzhihua City Detention Center on the following day and detained for five days.

Ms. Shi Zuohui was arrested at work on the morning of December 8, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Police Extorted 10,000 Yuan from Mr. Liu Xinyi's Family Before Releasing Him

Mr. Liu Xinyi was arrested by Liu Shifeng and other officers from the Liaolan Town Police Station on November 12, 2015. His home was ransacked by Guo Yucheng and other officers from the Pingdu City 610 Office. He was released after the police extorted 10,000 yuan from his family.

11. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

The Jinshan District Court sentenced Ms. Yang Jin'e to four years in prison, Ms. Li Shuang to three-and-a-half years, and Ms. Bao Shuping to three-years-and-three months on December 28, 2015.

Mr. Zhou Guangming, 55, and Mr. Zhao Chuanwen, 48, from Duozhuang Town were arrested on December 24, 2015 by officers from the Xinqiao Police Station for handing out desk calendars with Falun Gong content. Both practitioners were held in the Hedong District Detention Center in Linyi City.

15. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Hejun and Ms. Yu Zhenyu Subjected to Forced Labor in Hunan Women's Prison

Ms. Zhang Hejun, in her 60s, was arrested in August 2008. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison. She is held in the Hunan Province Women's Prison. She has been subjected to forced labor and suffers from cataracts and poor health.

Ms. Yu Zhenyu, in her 60s, was arrested at the same time. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison. She is held in the Hunan Province Women's Prison. She has been subjected to forced labor, which resulted in her weak physical condition.

Mr. Wang Xing was arrested by officers from the Guangfeng Domestic Security Division for suing Jiang Zemin. He was held in the Guangfeng County Detention Center for over three months.

Ms. Guo Xianyan and Mr. Yang Jianping were arrested on January 1, 2016 by officers from the De'an Domestic Security Division for talking to people about Falun Gong They are held in the De'an County Detention Center.

18. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wu Minmin Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wu Minmin was arrested on December 28, 2015. Her home was ransacked. Her whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Xiaolin Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiaolin was arrested on December 27, 2015.

20. [Ninghua County, Fujian Province] Mr. Liu Baoyuan Arrested

Mr. Liu Baoyuan was arrested on November 16, 2015 by officials from the Ninghua County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, officers from the Domestic Security Division, and the Anyuan Police Station. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books, a notebook computer, a cell phone, and a music player. He was released that night.
