Additional Persecution News from China – December 11, 2015 (Part II, 36 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 43 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 37 were illegally arrested.

1. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Zhihuai Taken Into Custody

Mr. Li Zhihuai and another 80-year-old practitioner were arrested on December 9, 2015, by Yan Liyue, Party secretary of the Yuangu Township, along with officers from the Yuangu Township Police Station, for handing out desk calendars with Falun Gong content. The elderly practitioner has returned home. Mr. Li was taken into police custody.

2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Chunhua Arrested

Ms. Li Chunhua, an art teacher recognized for her outstanding work, was arrested around November 23, 2015.

3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Taken Into Custody for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Jiang Li, 53, was arrested at work and taken to the Longjiang County Detention Center on December 8, 2015, by officers from the Longjiang County Domestic Security Division and the Xuefulu Police Station. She was detained for seven days.

Mr. Wu Fujun, 42, was arrested at home by officers from the Jingxing Town Police Station in Longjiang County on December 10, 2015. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated two Falun Gong books and an MP3 player. He is being held at the police station.

Mr. Guan Changfeng, 47, was arrested at home by officers from the Jingxing Town Police Station in Longjiang County on December 10, 2015. He is being held at the police station.

4. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yuan Xizhe Arrested

Mr. Yuan Xizhe was arrested by officers from the Xiangyang Police Station on December 8, 2015.

5. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiang Guoying and Mother Ms. Wang Lixia Detained

Yang Wanjin and officers from the Erdaowan Town Police Station broke into Ms. Jiang Guoying's barbershop on the morning of December 10, 2015. They pushed Ms. Jiang and her mother Ms. Wang Lixia into a police vehicle and took them to the police station. After six hours at the station both daughter and mother were taken to the Fuyu County Detention Center for ten days of detention.

6. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Yuhua and Ms. Zhao Wenqing Detained

Ms. Wu Yuhua was arrested on December 10, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and other belongings. She was taken to the Fuyu County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Wenqing from Fulu Town was arrested by local police officers on December 9, 2015. She is being detained in the Fuyu County Detention Center.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Song's Home Ransacked for Suing Jiang Zemin

Officers from the Youyilu Police Station in the Hexi District, along with Shouyuanli Residential Committee personnel, ransacked Ms. Song's home on December 6, 2015, on the grounds of verifying her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. They confiscated two notebook computers, several USB flash drives, and over 60 calendars with Falun Gong content.

8. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Hedong District Police Department and the 610 Office ransacked several practitioners' homes, and arrested, harassed , and beat them on December 8, 2015.

Ms. Yan Jie and her younger sister Ms. Yan Shumin were arrested, and their homes ransacked. Ms. Yan Jie was released that evening. Her younger sister remains in custody in the Dongli District Police Department.

Ms. Li Guangna was arrested by officers from the Dazhigu Police Station. The police kicked her while dragging her into the police vehicle.

9. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Leng Weinian and Mr. Li Fuxian Arrested

Mr. Leng Weinian and Mr. Li Fuxian, from Baojiadianzi Village in Hutou Town, were arrested by officers from the Hutou Town Police Station on December 7, 2015. Mr. Leng was released after the police extorted cash from his family. Mr. Li's whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Zouping County, Shandong Province] Ms. Miao Wenkai Arrested

Ms. Miao Wenkai, 45, an employee from the Copper Mine in Zouping County, was arrested by officers from the Zouping County Domestic Security Division and Daixi Police Station in November 2015. Her home was ransacked.

11. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Shaorong and Ms. Bu Deying Arrested

Mr. Wang Shaorong and Ms. Bu Deying from Zhonggong Town were photographed by street cameras when they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials on November 21, 2015.

Seven or eight plainclothes officers went to Ms. Bu's hometown on December 2, 2015. They attempted to arrest her but did not succeed. They arrested her at work on December 7, 2015. She was taken to the Jinan No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

12. [Dazhu County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Tan Zemin, her husband Mr. Gao Ming, and Mr. Zhang Zhongyue were arrested on the morning of December 9, 2015, by officers from the Dazhu County Domestic Security Division and the Xiqu Police Station in Zhuyang Town, for handing out calendars with Falun Gong content. They were detained in the Dazhu County Detention Center. The couple's home was ransacked.

13. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Lian Weihong and Ms. Ji Chou Detained

Ms. Lian Weihong was detained for 15 days. Officials later changed it to administrative detention. She is being held in the Xuchang City Detention Center.

Ms. Ji Chou was arrested on November 10, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. She was taken to the Xuchang City Detention Center on November 12, 2015.

14. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Ma Junhong Placed Under Administrative Detention for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Ma Junhong was arrested by officers from the Yuzhou City Domestic Security Division and the Shundian Town Police Station on October 26, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. His home was ransacked. He was detained in the Yuzhou City Detention Center for 15 days, and placed under administrative detention on November 10, 2015. He was held in the Xuchang City Detention Center. Officers from the police station ransacked his home again on November 28, 2015.

15. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Chenfang Detained

Ms. Wang Chenfang was detained in the Fuyang City Detention Center.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Zhai Suzhen and Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Zhai Suzhen, 54, and Ms. Zhang were arrested at Ms. Zhang's home by six police officers on November 11, 2015. Ms. Zhai is detained in cell 1201 in the Sujiatuo Detention Center in the Haidian District. Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Sun Yaping and Practitioner Li Arrested

Ms. Sun Yaping was arrested by officers from the Ailian Police Station in the Longgang District on December 9, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin.

Practitioner Li was arrested by officers from the Bantian Police Station in the Longgang District.

18. [Ya'an City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Guobin Detained

Officers from the Mengdingshan Town Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Guobin's home in the Mingshan District and ransacked it on the morning of December 8, 2015. Mr. Wang was taken to the police station. Family visits are denied. The officers took Mr. Wang to the Ya'an City for a physical exam. It was reported that Mr. Wang is being held in the Ya'an Detention Center.

19. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Huang Zongpeng and Ms. Liao Juan'na Arrested

Mr. Huang Zongpeng from Heshui Town and Ms. Liao Juan'na from Longtian Town were arrested by officers from the Xingning Police Department and the local police station on the morning of December 10, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. Both practitioners’ homes were ransacked.

20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Chunfang Arrested and Ms. Li Jiulan Harassed

Ms. Tian Chunfang was arrested at home and taken to the Huashan Police Station on the morning of December 10, 2015.

The officers also arrested Ms. Li Jiulan's husband on the same day. The police took written notes while interrogating him, and threatened that they might arrest his wife.

21. [Quyang County, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Practitioner Yuchao and his wife Zhihong, from Wuligang Village, Hengzhou Town, were harassed at home by officers from the Quyang County Domestic Security Division and the local police station on the morning of December 10, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. The officers confiscated Falun Gong informational materials and personal belongings.

During the past two months, Mr. Song Zhicun, Mr. Xue Baojun, Mr. Han Aiying, Ms. Liu Jinye, and Ms. Jia Guifen have also been harassed for suing Jiang Zemin.

22. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. He Weiqi Detained

Ms. He Weiqi, 68, from Heshunshanjiao Village, Lishui Town, Nanhai District, was arrested by about a dozen police officers on the afternoon of December 7, 2015. The officers confiscated a large amount of currency, Falun Gong books, a computer, and a printer. Ms. He was transferred to the Nanhai Detention Center in Shishan Town without notifying her family.

23. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Mr. Lu Yongfang Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Lu Yongfang, 69, was arrested and taken to the police station on December 1, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. He was then taken to a detention center. The detention center refused to admit him as he failed to pass any of the several items examined. He was released.

24. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Xueping Arrested

Ms. Yang Xueping was arrested at home on December 8, 2015.

25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shu Guilan Detained

Ms. Shu Guilan from Tianhui Town was arrested at home by officers from the Tianhui Town Police Station on November 17, 2015. She is being detained in the Pi County Detention Center.

26. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Over Twenty Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

According to incomplete statistics, 11 practitioners were detained in the Lianyungang City Lockup on September 15, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Sun Li, Ms. Zheng Shirong, Ms. Yang Fang, Ms. Yang Hua, and Ms. Pan were detained for ten days

Ms. Tao Wenyue, Ms. Niu Jinhua, Ms. Zhang, Ms. Liu Guimei, and Ms. Chen Yuhua were detained for 15 days.

Ms. Sheng Zhimei was detained for 12 days.

About ten practitioners were detained in the Lianyungang City Detention Center on September 15, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, including Ms. Xiong Chengxia, Ms. Li Shuhong, Ms. Jiang Min, Ms. Na, Ms. Zhang Hui, Ms. Zheng Jun, Ms. Qiu Yufeng, Ms. Zhong Chongzhen, Ms. Wang Yamin, and Mr. Xu Longbiao.

27. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yan Xiaojun Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Yan Xiaojun was arrested by local police on December 9, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. He is being detained for 15 days.

28. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Liu Yanfeng Detained

Officers from the Dongjiao Police Station in Ongniud Banner broke into Ms. Liu Yanfeng's home and arrested her on the morning of December 9, 2015. She was detained for five days.

29. [Luchuan County, Guangxi Province] Ms. Li Yumei Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Li Yumei was arrested on December 9, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin.

30. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Zhanqing and Ms. Yan Shunli Arrested

Mr. Gao Zhanqing and Ms. Yan Shunli were arrested on November 23, 2015.

31. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Shouchun and Ms. Feng Yuxia Arrested

Ms. Xu Shouchun and Ms. Feng Yuxia were arrested on December 8, 2015.

32. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Zhaoqun Detained

Ms. Peng Zhaoqun, 47, was followed and arrested on December 9, 2015 by officers from the Mituo Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Naxi Detention Center.

33. [Luan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Han Zhonghua Arrested

Officers from the Luan County Police Department No. 1 Division arrested Mr. Han Zhonghua at home on December 10, 2015. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong.

34. [Qianshan County, Anhui Province] Mr. Chen Yilian Arrested and Whereabouts are Unknown

Mr. Chen Yilian, in his thirties, from Pengcen Village in Meicheng Town, was working odd jobs after being released from the Suzhou Prison on February 11, 2015. He was arrested around October 10, 2015 at his rental home in Longgang Town, Cangnan County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. His whereabouts are unknown.

35. [Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Wang Ping and Another Practitioner Arrested

Mr. Wang Ping and another practitioner, with the surname An, were arrested on December 8, 2015. The homes of both practitioners were ransacked.

36. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Qingyang Detained

Mr. Liu Qingyang was arrested by officers from the Nanpu Police Station in the Panyu District on the evening of December 3, 2015. He was taken to the Shawan Detention Center in the Panyu District the following day.
