Additional Persecution News from China – August 3, 2015 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 26 were illegally arrested, the whereabouts of 1 is unknown, and 1 died due to torture.

1. [Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yuan Zhu Died Due to Torture

Ms. Yuan Zhu was taken to the Jinhua Brainwashing Center on May 13, 2015. She was tortured for refusing to be “ transformed." She was transferred to a detention center and tortured. When she was in critical condition, the police told her family to take her home on medical parole. She passed away on July 12, 2015, four days after she returned home.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Gong Xiurong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Gong Xiurong from the Bajiao Area in the Shijingshan District was arrested and taken to the Wulitun Brainwashing Center on May 18, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

3. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Since May 2015, officers from the Jinhua 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Yu Chunhua, Ms. Wu Yuejuan, Ms. Guo Caiqin, Ms. He Meiqin, Ms. Wang Xuanping, Ms. Zhou, Ms. Jin Di, and a female practitioner called Lanlan. The eight practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center.

4. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Wu Tingfeng's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wu Tingfeng was arrested on July 21, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xiangxing Arrested

Mr. Wang Xiangxing was arrested recently and released the same day.

6. [Qianshan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Ding Chunmei Detained

Ms. Ding Chunmei from Youba Township was arrested on July 21, 2015, for telling people about on July 21, 2015. She is now in the Anqing City Detention Center.

7. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Faying Sentenced to Prison

The Guanghan City Court sentenced Ms. Yan Faying to three years and six months in prison on July 16, 2015.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Yantai City Police Department and the Lijiaoqiao Police Station broke into Ms. Wang Shaoe's home and ransacked it on the afternoon of July 30, 2015. Ms. Wang was arrested.

The officers followed and arrested Ms. Wang Zhongli on the morning of July 31, 2015. They confiscated a computer, a cellphone, an MP3 player, Falun Dafa books, and currency.

The officers also arrested Ms. Zhang Xuebing and held her for 15 days.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Shiming Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Shiming from the Wanzhou District was arrested for putting up Falun Gong informational stickers on July 16, 2015. She is now in the Geleshan Brainwashing Center.

10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Xiaohong and Ms. Liu Jinhua Detained

Ms. Li Xiaohong and Ms. Liu Jinhua were arrested on July 29, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Both practitioners are being held in the Matougang Detention Center in the Jinshui District.

11. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Jun and Wife Ms. Liu Juhong Detained

Mr. Chen Jun and his wife Ms. Liu Juhong were arrested at work by officers from the Hanbin District Domestic Security Division on July 28, 2015. The officers ransacked their home. Mr. Chen is held in the Liujialiang Drug Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Liu is in the Ankang City No. 1 Detention Center.

12. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Ai Lalian Detained

Ms. Ai Lalian was arrested on the morning of August 1, 2015, for telling people about Falun Gong in Tongmu Town, Zhongfang County. She was taken to the Zhongfang County Detention Center in the Hecheng District for 10 days of detention.

13. [Xinye County, Henan Province] Ms. Nie Qiaoyun and Ms. Qi Sanyun Detained

Ms. Nie Qiaoyun and Ms. Qi Sanyun were arrested by officers from the Xinye County Domestic Security Division and the Shian Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong on July 31, 2015. They are in the Xinye Detention Center.

14. [Zhangping City, Fujian Province] Ms. Lin Youmei Detained

Officers from the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Lin Youmei on July 29, 2015. They ransacked her home. Ms. Lin was taken to the Zhangping City Detention Center.

15. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Jingjuan Arrested

Officers from the Nangang Police Station broke into Ms. Song Jingjuan's home and arrested her on July 31, 2015. They ransacked her home and confiscated a notebook computer and a printer, among other items.
