Additional Persecution News from China – August 4, 2015 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 36 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Mo Yuhua, Ms. Li Jingfen, and another practitioner were arrested and taken to the Ertaizi Police Station in the Dadong District on August 3, 2015. They are detained in the Shenyang City Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Shuwen, Ms. Song Xiuying, and Ms. Wang Jinling were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on June 11, 2015, when they were mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese regime. They are all detained at the Tiangezhuang Detention Center in the Fangshan District.

Ms. Sui Guizhen was arrested by officers from the Longhua Police Station on July 22, 2015. She was detained at the Jilin City Detention Center for 10 days.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Fu Shengming Arrested

Mr. Fu Shengming was arrested and his home was ransacked on August 2, 2015.

5. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yang Yunfang, Mr. Zhang Yongming, and Mr. Chen Zhonglin were arrested by officers from the Suzhou City Domestic Security Division, Taicang City 610 Office, and Nanjiao Police Station on August 1, 2015. They are all detained at the Taicang City Detention Center.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yongming, 42, and his mother Ms. Nie Fang were arrested by officers from the Qiaonan Police Station on July 30, 2015, for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese regime. Ms. Nie was released the next day due to poor health. Mr. Zhang was detained for ten days.

Mr. Jin Lihua was arrested at home by officers from the Jiaxi Police Station on July 30, 2015. The police confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, a small music box, and other personal items. He was detained for 15 days.

7. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yu Cuixia Arrested

Ms. Yu Cuixia was arrested on the way to her parents' home in Anqing City by officers from the Dananmen Police Station on July 17, 2015. She was held for approximately seven hours and her blood was drawn against her will. She was later released.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from Haidian District on July 24, 2015. She is detained at the Haidian District Detention Center.

9. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yushu and Mr. Zhang Jinjun Sentenced

Ms. Liu Yushu and Mr. Zhang Jinjun were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Wendeng District Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on September 17, 2014. Ms. Liu was detained at the Weihai City Detention Center. Ms. Liu was later sentenced by the Wendeng District Court to a four-year prison term and Mr. Zhang to a three-year prison term with four years of probation. Ms. Liu was taken back to the Wendeng District Detention Center and Mr. Zhang was released on July 30, 2015.

10. [Sheqi County, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners were arrested by Wang Yun, director of the Chengjiao Township Police Station, on July 28, 2015. They are Mr. Wu Changde, Mr. Jiao Changshun, Ms. Sun Shufang, Mr. Chang Rutong, and Mr. Jia Jintai. Mr. Jia and Mr. Wu were released. Mr. Chang is detained at the Sheqi County Detention Center and Ms. Sun was taken to Nanyang City.

11. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Wang Zhongbin, Ms. Wang Shihuan, and Ms. Liu Xianchun are being detained in a brainwashing center.

12. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Seventeen Practitioners Arrested

Seventeen practitioners were arrested at Mr. Zhu Huaisheng’s home by officers from the Huaiyang County Domestic Security Division, led by Zhu Xijie (朱喜杰), an officer from Zhuji Village, on May 13, 2015, when they were reading Falun Gong books.

They are: Ms. Zhang Junmei, Ms. Shi Fengqin, Ms. Niu Fenglan, Ms. Chen Guizhi, Ms. Ruan Xiurong, Ms. Hu Cuiying, Mr. Zhu Xiuyi, Ms. Zhu Dehong, Ms. Niu Jinmei, Ms. Yang Xiuqin, Ms. Zhang Zhiying, Ms. Zhang Qin, Ms. Zhu Hushi, Ms. Zhu Lishi, Mr. Zhu Huaisheng, Mr. Zhu Zixue, and Ms. Zhu Ziqin. All but Mr. Zhu Huaisheng were released.

The police confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and 1500 yuan in cash with information about Falun Gong printed on the bills. They had 80,000 yuan extorted from them.

13. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shen Lianghua’s Home Ransacked

A dozen officers from Sanga Town 610 Office and Police Station ransacked Mr. Shen Lianghua’s home on August 3, 2015. Mr. Shen and his wife were not at home but their children were. The officers confiscated two computers, a printer, a recorder, Falun Gong books, and other personal items.

14. [Laiwu City, Shandong Provnice] Ms. Zhang Dehong Detained

Ms. Zhang Dehong was arrested on August 1, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in the Beibu Detention Center.

15. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Guiqin Detained

Ms. Liu Guiqin was arrested at home by the deputy director of the Yongyang Town Police Station and officers from the Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office on July 13, 2015. She is detained at the Baima Town Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Liu was once sentenced to a four-year prison term, subjected to forced labor for a year, and detained in brainwashing centers several times. She was almost blind due to the abuse she was subjected to.

16. [Chongqing] Ms. Ding Hongmei and Ms. Jian Xiaohua Detained

Ms. Ding Hongmei, 61, and her daughter Ms. Jian Xiaohua, 40, were arrested on July 16, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained at the Tongnan County Detention House. A few days later, Ms. Ding was transferred to the Tongnan County Detention Center. Ms. Jian, after being detained for 15 days, was transferred to the Chongqing Brainwashing Center on July 31, 2015.

17. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Fu Jinfeng Tried

Ms. Fu Jinfeng, 53, was arrested by officers from the Jingkai District Domestic Security Division and Jiaoqiao Police Station on March 24, 2015. She was later detained at the Nanchang City No. 3 Detention Center for 15 days, and then to the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center on April 9. She was scheduled to be tried by the Jingkai District Court on August 6, 2015.
