(Minghui.org) As Falun Dafa practitioners, we should maintain pure and benevolent righteous thoughts through cultivation and we should save the lives poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The following are some of my experiences in strengthening righteous thoughts and true compassion for all beings.
Afraid of Being Exposed to the Public
I was arrested in October 2005 when the old forces took advantage of my strong attachment to my child and lack of diligence in cultivation.
While in detention, I tried to tell the police the facts about Falun Dafa, but they refused to listen. Instead, they took me to a hospital for a medical examination. In the hospital I again tried to talk about Falun Dafa to a police officer, but she also refused to listen. Instead, she turned violent. At that moment, I thought of what Master [Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa] said:
“The Fa is merciful to all beings, but at the same time it's solemn and dignified. And the Fa has standards, before sentient beings it's unchanging and unbreakable, and it's not something that can be influenced casually. I can be merciful to sentient beings, but, when a being has really violated something to that extent, the Fa is there to judge him, and any further mercy would be excessive, it would be the same as destroying itself, so beings like that are marked for elimination.” (“Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference”)
I looked at her identification on her uniform and tried to memorize it. She asked, “What are you looking at?” I told her, "I am memorizing your police ID. If I get out of here alive, I will expose you to the public.”
She wanted to know where I would expose her. I told her, “On the Minghui website's list of perpetrators. This list is for exposing the names of those who have persecuted practitioners.” Then she wanted to know what would happen to these people. I said, “No one can escape justice forever. Everyone exposed on the list will be brought to justice or receive karmic retribution in another form.”
She was shocked and frightened and asked me not to record her name because she had children and a family. She asked, “What can I do to avoid being exposed on the list?” I told her that if she repented and no longer got involved in the persecution of practitioners I wouldn't record her name. She promised to no longer persecute Falun Gong practitioners and said, “Please forgive me.” I noticed that she stopped persecuting practitioners.
The list of perpetrators is really effective. It deters the evildoers and has the effect of educating and saving the people who did wrong because of being deceived by the CCP.
Wisdom Comes from Cultivating in Falun Dafa
The CCP persecuted practitioners more intensively in 2008, claiming it was for “maintaining social order” during the Olympics. Fellow practitioner “A” was under surveillance the minute he was released from the labor camp. He could not deliver the truth-clarification DVDs he made in his home to other practitioners, and he was not able to receive the Minghui Weekly printed by practitioners. All practitioners were very anxious about the situation.
I thought, “Master arranged our cultivation and efforts to save lives. Therefore, no one can stop us.” Master said,
“This period of history was arranged for Dafa disciples to save sentient beings, so why haven't you taken the lead role? Why give top priority to the words of ordinary people who have been indoctrinated with the wicked party's culture? Why have you paid so much attention to the evil's persecution? This is worth giving serious thought to.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference.”)
I came to understand that this situation wasn't normal. Therefore, I decided that I should play the leading role and harmonize what Master wants. I took the Minghui Weekly with me and asked Master to help me not get caught.
The practitioner's home is on the first floor of the building. A male monitor sat by the building entrance watching everyone who entered or left the building. I walked in a certain direction to make him think that I was going to a different apartment and then by sending righteous thoughts I was able to go to the practitioner's apartment without the monitor seeing me.
The practitioner was surprised and looked at the Minghui Weekly as if he were holding a precious treasure in his hands. I was deeply moved that despite the pressure he still made so many DVDs for practitioners. Only our compassionate Master and the great Fa can create practitioners that risk their lives to save sentient beings.
We had a brief sharing. We then put the materials into my bag. I was ready to leave. At that moment, I saw through the window that three women monitors had replaced the male monitor. One of the three was the head of the local residential committee office. We sent righteous thoughts and asked for Master's strengthening. We held the strong thought that no one could stop us from saving lives. Then, practitioner A suggested that he would go to the store to buy salt. These women would follow him, giving me a chance to leave too.
He opened the door and asked the monitors to come to the store with him. Two of them agreed, but one stayed behind. After a few steps, the practitioner turned around and asked the other one to go with them too. I took the opportunity to walk out of the apartment and disappear in the crowd.
Only Falun Dafa Can Create Such Miracles
My father practiced Buddhism for 40 years. He suddenly had symptoms of a stroke while reading Buddhist scriptures in the morning on November 6, 2009 and his right side was paralyzed.
I happened to return home at the moment. I put my hands in heshi position and asked for Master's help to save my father. Then, I told my parents, “Recite sincerely 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'” My mother recited these words, but my father only moved his lips, as he could not make a sound. I said, “You should understand now that the Buddha you are worshiping no longer can help you. Quickly beg for our Master's help. If you can not speak, say in your mind Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! And a miracle will happen!”
About 20 minutes later my father could move his fingers. Then he raised his right arm and held my mother's hand. After that he was able to move his toes and legs. He slowly sat up. The first sentence he said was, “Thank you Master Li. Master Li saved my life. Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Within about half an hour, my father returned to normal.
Explaining the Truth Is Saving Lives
During the Chinese National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference period, the 610 Office persecuted practitioners nationwide. The residential committee in my local area was also actively involved in the persecution. They monitored, arrested and searched the homes of practitioners.
One day when I was home cooking, the director of the residential committee and a group of people came to my home. He pointed at me and said, “She practices Falun Dafa. If anyone sees her handing out fliers and talking to people about Falun Dafa, report to me immediately.”
I calmly said to her, “Falun Dafa teaches people to live by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to be good people. We do not violate the law. If you have nothing else to do, please leave.”
After they left, I thought it over. I found that I had a competitive mentality. Master said, “Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world” (“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos” from Hong Yin Vol. II)
I was not compassionate at the moment. I felt ashamed and said in my mind, “Master, I was wrong. I should not treat these people who have been deceived by the wicked CCP's lies like this. They are pitiful. I want to save them.”
I shared my thoughts with several local fellow practitioners. We discarded our mentality of fear and improved ourselves based on the Fa.
Master said:
"You need to know that clarifying the truth is extremely important for Dafa disciples. You aren't just doing personal cultivation—your own cultivation is saving the beings in the gigantic cosmic bodies that you represent. When you clarify the truth you are saving even more and even larger additional cosmic bodies and the beings in those cosmic bodies, because this is the responsibility Dafa and history have bestowed upon you.” “Only Dafa disciples can have such great missions bestowed upon them.” (“Touring North America to Teach the Fa”)
We reached a common understanding that saving lives is our historical responsibility. We should talk to people about Falun Dafa, no matter who they are.
Since then, we have used every opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Dafa to the director. We told her that Dafa is spreading worldwide and about the miraculous healing power of Dafa. We also explained to her that the “Self-Immolation” incident on Tiananmen Square was staged by the CCP in order to frame Falun Dafa and about the well-known rock formation with the characters “Death to the CCP” mysteriously carved into it. We also told her that some of the persecutors are facing international trials.
In the beginning she refused to listen, but gradually she started listening and finally she came to understand the facts and withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Later, she apologized, “I was very unreasonable. Please accept my apology. From now on if you need my help, please let me know.” She also said, “Through being in contact with you, I've learned that you are all very kind and honest. You don't seek personal fame and interests and what you have said is reasonable. You are sincerely thinking about us. I know now what to do if anyone reports practitioners.”
