Additional Persecution News from China – September 26, 2014 (27 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Yujie and Mr. Wu Jie Detained

Mr. Ma Yujie and Mr. Wu Jie from Shijiazhuang City were arrested on September 23, 2014 in Qinhuangdao City where they were running errands. They were taken to the Qinhuangdao Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Zicheng and Mr. Zhang Aiping Sentenced

The Pinggu Court of Beijing sentenced Mr. Wang Zicheng and Mr. Zhang Aiping in the Pinggu Detention Center on August 19, 2014. Mr. Wang was sentenced to five and half years in prison and Mr. Zhang to four and half years. Both practitioners appealed to the Beijing Intermediate Court.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xinying Detained

Ms. Liu Xinying was arrested at home on September 23, 2014. She is being held in the No. 210 Hospital.

4. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xin Guiqin Detained

Ms. Xin Guiqin, 61, from Binjiang Road in Zhenxing District, was arrested by officers from the Xingdong Police Station for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on September 18, 2014. She is being held in the Dandong Detention Center.

5. [Bejing] Mr. Zhu Jinsong Sentenced

Mr. Zhu Jinsong was sentenced to three years and four months in prison by the Changping Court on September 25, 2014.

He was arrested along with other eight practitioners in 2013 by agents from the Changping Police Department, the Beijing Police Department, the State Security Bureau and the 610 Office. He has been held in the Changping Detention Center.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Hongxia on Hunger Strike

Ms. Liu Hongxia is being held in the No.5 Cell of the No.7 Ward in the Dalian Detention Center. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

7. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Yu Fengmei Detained

Ms. Yu Fengmei, a lawyer, was arrested at work by officers from the Yuanbaoshan Domestic Security Division on September 23, 2014. Her home was ransacked and her computer, printer, copier and other items were confiscated. Ms. Yu is being held in the Yuanbaoshan Detention Center.

8. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Qu Dehong Arrested

Mr. Qu Dehong from Jixi was arrested at the Jiamusi Train Station on September 22, 2014.

9. [Keshan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Qun and Ms. Yan Qingling Arrested

Officers from the Keshan Farm Police Department arrested Ms. Zhou Qun and Ms. Yan Qingling at their homes on September 25, 2014.

10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dou Hongxia and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Dou Hongxia and her husband from Songyuan Village in the Huangdao District were arrested by officers from the Jiaonan Police Department on September 22, 2014. Their home was ransacked.

Ms. Wang Huili was recently arrested when she went to visit her mother by train. She is being held in the Jiamusi Detention Center.

12. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Yanyan Detained

Ms. Chen Yanyan from Huadian was arrested at her own superstore by agents from the Shengli Police Station in Huadian and the 610 Office on September 24, 2014. She was taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center.

13. [Chongqing] Mr. Wang Liang Arrested

Mr. Wang Liang from Lijiatuo was arrested for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on September 22, 2014. He is being held in the Banan Detention Center.

14. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zheng Zixiang and Ms. Fang Sifeng Detained

Mr. Zheng Zixiang and Ms. Fang Sifeng from Juanshui Town in Tongcheng County were arrested by officers from the Tanghu Police Station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Tanghu Town on September 24, 2014. They were taken to the county detention center.

15. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Qiong, Ms. Sun Ruixia and Ms. Yan Aizhi were arrested on August 28, 2014 by Hao Gangsheng and other officers from the Xinhe Police Station for talking about Falun Gong in Xinhe Town, Pingdu. Officers from the Pingdu Domestic Security Division pulled their hair, slapped them and violently beat them. They were taken to Mencun in Pingdu and held there for 15 days.

On September 12, when their detention term was over, officers from the Pingdu Domestic Security Division transferred them to the Changyi 610 Office, which then sent them to a Brainwashing Center. They did not cooperate and were released from the brainwashing center that day.

16. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Xia Jiayan Detained

Ms. Xia Jiayan was arrested on September 25, 2014. She is being held in the State Security Group.

17. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Directed by the Qujiang 610 Officer, Officers from the Domestic Security Divisions from the Qujiang Police Department and the Songshan Police Department arrested Ms. Chen Xueqing, Ms. Fu Chiying and Ms. Weng Chunyan and ransacked their homes on August 29, 2014. They are being held in the Shaoguan Detention Center.

18. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Jiang Xiulan from Zhangwangzhuang Village in Wucheng Town was arrested at home by three officers from Wucheng County on September 24, 2014. Her computer, printer and other items were confiscated.

19. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mr. Hu Qingbin and Two Others Arrested

Mr. Hu Qingbin, his wife and son were arrested at home by officers from the Lushan Police Department on September 23, 2014. His son was released that day. Mr. Hu and his wife are being held in the Guangminglu Police Station.

Mr. Jiang Junfeng was also arrested the same day at a small shop that he owns. He is being held in the Jianshelu Police Station.

20. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Yongwen Detained

Ms. Zheng Yongwen from Kaian Town was recently arrested by officers from the Kaian Police Station. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

21. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Xiuyuan and Ms. Xia Hongmei Detained

Ms. Lin Xiuyuan and Ms. Xia Hongmei were arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Yiwen Township on September 24, 2014. They were taken to the Yinan Detention Center.

22. [Pingtan County, Fujian Province] Ms. Qiu Shanmei Detained

Ms. Qiu Shanmei was arrested by officers from the local police station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on June 25, 2014. She was held in a local lockup center for 15 days, then transferred to a local detention center, where she is still being held.

23. [Shaodong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Fuzu Detained

Mr. Wang Fuzu from Niushan Village in Shuidongjiang Town was arrested on September 14, 2014 by Niushan Village Party secretary Zeng Duanrong and agents from the Shuidongjiang Police Station and the Shuidongjiang Political and Legal Affairs Committee. She is being held in the Shaoyang Brainwashing Center.

24. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Jiansheng Sentenced

The Yibin Intermediate Court tried Mr. Wang Jiansheng for the second time in Xingwen County on September 23, 2014, and sentenced Mr. Wang to seven and a half years in prison.

25. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Liang Yu Sentenced

Ms. Liang Yu, an engineer, was sentenced to three years in prison in early September 2014. She was taken to the Suzhou Prison.

26. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Wenduo and Mr. Han Xiao Sentenced

Mr. Chen Wenduo was sentenced to three years in prison and Mr. Han Xiao to eight years. They are being held in the Dalian Prison.

27. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Liyuan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Liyuan was arrested by officers from the Yi Police Department for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Jinsanjiao on September 25, 2014.
