(Minghui.org) Mount Tai ranks first among the five major mountains in China. It is a famous mountain since ancient times. It is also considered to be a sacred mountain that has been blessed.

People believe that climbing Mount Tai is worshiping the mountain. When reaching its peak, one will automatically forget all trivial matters in life. Ancient Chinese said that one would feel that the world is nothing after reaching the top of Mount Tai.

Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, took the time to climb Mount Tai when he was teaching the Fa and saving sentient beings.

He has used parables and expanded much effort to teach practitioners the Falun Dafa principles, so that they could advance toward higher levels.

Reading the verse “Climbing Mount Tai,” published in Hong Yin, explains to practitioners better and clearer the nature of cultivation. We can truly appreciate the indescribable benevolence that Teacher holds for practitioners.

Teaching Endurance

Some people claim that one cannot climb Mount Tai without a true heart. By the same token, we cannot cultivate in Falun Dafa without a true heart. Without perseverance, courage, determination, and the spirit of not fearing pain, one cannot climb Mount Tai. Similarly, we cannot succeed in our cultivation without these highly acclaimed traits.

I enlightened that Mount Tai will not lower its height for anyone in particular and let you reach the top in one step. Our cultivation in Dafa is even more serious. The Fa will never change. It will not lower its standards to meet your attachment and let you reach consummation.

If we bring our sons or daughters, or carry our grandsons or granddaughters, or carry lots of money and valuables with us when climbing Mount Tai, how can we compete with those who go empty handed? When the time is up, other people have all reached the peak, but you may still be at the beginning of your climb.

We need to examine our cultivation to see whatever attachment we may still have. Any such attachment will hamper our elevating to a higher level.

Some practitioners cannot let go of this and that. They worry whether their sons or daughters are successful in business, their grandsons or granddaughters are smart and behaving, or their lives are comfortable. If we are attached to the pursuit of having a good life, we will miss the one in a lifetime opportunity to cultivate and be heart broken when the time is up.

Only if we get rid of all attachments to worldly things and cultivate diligently, can we reach higher levels.

“Dafa disciples, the tens of millions—
A place still higher awaits you at Consummation.” (“Climbing Mount Tai” from Hong Yin).

This is Teacher's greatest hope and expectation for his practitioners. We will not succeed in our cultivation if we do not act just as if we would climb Mount Tai. We will be disappointing Teacher and miss our one in a lifetime opportunity.

Lastly, let's read “Climbing Mount Tai” and encourage each other.

“I climb the steep steps, stretching miles ahead,Winding upward and steep, this road, even to set off is hard;Glancing back, ‘its just like cultivating Righteous Fa,Pausing half way makes salvation hard.So steel the will, and lift thy leaden leg,Endure the pain, diligent, and cast off attachments;Dafa disciples, the tens of millions —A place still higher awaits you at Consummation.” (Hong Yin)
