This scenario is often seen across various tourists sites in Europe. Many Chinese people are glad to hear the facts about Falun Gong, and decide to the quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) after learning the bad deeds it has committed. Many exclaim, “The CCP is rotten to the core.”
“It is a rare opportunity to hear uncensored information here. Please quit the CCP before it collapses. Otherwise, you may sink with it—and you don't want that to happen to you,” one practitioner volunteer explained as she distributed materials. “Yes, we know it. I have read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. It is well-written, and I read it many times,” a Chinese tourist replied.
An increasing number of Chinese tourists are traveling to Europe every year. Although the peak season—from Spring to early October—has passed, a large number of Chinese are still quitting the CCP at these sites every day. And the materials distributed by practitioners are very popular. Even some Chinese who were initially hesitant to quit the Party changed their minds after learning what had happened.
“I didn't know that the persecution was this bad—for example, the live organ harvesting. Now I know this is serious and I will not be doomed with the Party,” one Chinese visitor said.
Switzerland: Tourist Helps Clarify the Facts
Among a group of over twenty Chinese tourists who visited a Swiss tourist site was a middle-aged gentleman. Excited to see a practitioner coming up to distribute materials, he said loudly to the other tourists, “These materials read very well. Come and get one!” As tourists were taking the materials one by one, he continued, “Please make sure to not only quit the CCP, but also its affiliated organizations, such as the Youth League and the Young Pioneers.”
“Falun Gong is outstanding. We have seen them many times during the trip,” one of them said. “This is great,” another tourist continued, “Only these materials contain the truth about China. No other materials are brave enough to speak the truth”
Most of the Chinese visitors agreed to quit the CCP and associated organizations. For those who were hesitant, the practitioner said to them, “Falun Gong practitioners are just doing meditation and following their beliefs to improve mind and body. How can the CCP suppress them so severely and even harvest their organs to sell? The Party is doomed and anyone associated with it could be in danger. Please make the right decision now, so that you will have a safe future.”
“I will. Please help me with it,” one of tourists said. “Thank you, I have to get on the bus now. But I will do it at the next tour site,” another one said.
Vatican City: “Thank you, Falun Gong!”
Practitioners also go to Vatican City regularly, to provide Chinese tourists with information that is inaccessible back in China. Among them is Andrei, an Italian practitioner who often greets Chinese tourists from the parking lot and walks with them through the walkway to the points of interest. Because this passage takes a few minutes to walk, Andrei often brings a mini speaker with him to broadcast the facts about Falun Gong and debunk the defamatory lies from the CCP.
This draws the attention of Chinese tourists and many of them slow down to listen. Many Chinese have learned the truth in this way and quit the CCP with the help of nearby Chinese practitioners. Some of them give him a “thumbs-up.” One gentleman said to Andrei, “You need to learn Chinese. If you go to China to study Chinese, I will pay your expenses.”
One middle-aged Chinese visitor was sitting on the roadside to rest. He said he was a Christian, and did not need to quit the CCP. After listening to the speaker and reading materials, he asked a Chinese practitioner, “It seems the CCP is doomed, isn't it?” “Yes, of course.” the practitioner replied. The middle-aged man paused and said, “Thank you for telling me this. Please quit the CCP for me.”
When practitioners said farewell to him and reminded him to remember “Falun Dafa is good” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good,” the man smiled, “You take care too. Thank you, Falun Gong! Thank you, founder of Falun Gong!”
Madrid, Spain: Eight People Quit the CCP, Including Restaurant Owner, Waiters, and Diners
When two British practitioners visited Madrid, Spain, recently, they went to some restaurants in Chinatown and explained Falun Gong and the persecution in China to Chinese people there. It was morning time, and not many diners were eating in the restaurants. Nonetheless, over 60 Chinese quit the CCP and affiliated organizations within two hours.
A restaurant owner was chatting with the two practitioners and said, “The CCP is indeed bad. My whole family became victims in political campaigns, and in the end, we had to flee here in Spain.” He then praised practitioners for their efforts, “What you did is truly outstanding.” Eight people, including the owner, waiters, and customers, quit the CCP.
Another restaurant owner, who was still paying the CCP membership fee, said he knew the CCP's propaganda was deceiving. He said, “The Cultural Revolution was terrible.” He was also aware that the self-immolation incident at Tiananmen Square in 1999 was staged to slander Falun Gong. After a practitioner suggested that he read the Nine Commentaries, and told him about organ harvesting from living practitioners in China, he went silent, and quit the CCP using his real name.
“I will no longer pay the Party membership fee,” he said.
Cambridge, UK: Students Remind Each Other Not to Join the CCP
A large number of Chinese visited Cambridge, UK, this summer. Most were students, comprising over ten tour groups every day. The tour guides occasionally attempted to stop practitioner volunteers from telling students the facts about Falun Gong, but the practitioners are usually polite and firm, “This is something very important, both for you and these students. Could you give me one or two minutes?” Very often the tour guide steps to the side and remains quiet.
After hearing that Falun Gong was well received in over 130 countries outside of China, and about the groundless hate propaganda against Falun Gong such as the staged self-immolation incident, the brutal persecution, and live organ harvesting, these students came to understand the facts. Many agreed to quit organizations affiliated with the CCP, and reminded each other not to join the Party later on.
Oslo, Norway: Luxury Tourists Say the CCP is “Rotten to the root”
As luxury tourism became popular for Chinese, practitioner volunteers also approach visitors on these tours—primarily high ranking government officials or businessmen—and tell them the facts about Falun Gong. These people are often very clear about how corrupt the CCP is. One luxury Chinese tourist in Oslo, the capital of Norway, told a practitioner that he had already quit the CCP back in China with the help of practitioners. Several other members of the group also quit the Party after chatting with the practitioner.
One company manager said that many people in China were paying money in exchange for a government officer title. He knew a friend, who after paying two million yuan for a police station chief position, was able to get the money back through bribery within one year. “These people are not really loyal to the CCP. They just want to please higher officials and make more money.”
“We all know that at least 95% of government employees, regardless of rank, are corrupt,” this person said, “The CCP is rotten to the root.”
