Additional Persecution News from China – October 3, 2014 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in ten cities or counties in eight provinces. According to this report, four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least seven practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Kun Arrested

Mr. Li Kun from the Longfeng District was arrested by a plainclothes officer on October 2, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong.

2. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Liju on Hunger Strike

Ms. Yan Liju was arrested by officers from the Zhengyang Police Station on September 19, 2014. She was taken to a detention center where she started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. After several days of the strike, she was rushed to the No. 2 Affiliated Hospital of Qiqihar Medical University.

3. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhou Wenxiu and Mr. Liu Jiading Detained

Ms. Zhou Wenxiu and Mr. Liu Jiading were arrested on September 8, 2014. They were detained in a detention center for 15 days and were to be released on September 24. However, on that day, agents from the Zhuhai 610 Office and the police department picked them up from the detention center and held them in the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.

4. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Xu Xiucai Detained

Mr. Xu Xiucai was taken to the Majunying Police Station on September 13, 2014, because he was explaining facts about Falun Gong. He was transferred to the Chenzhuang Detention Center the next morning.

5. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Qingyu Arrested

Ms. Wang Qing, retired, was arrested at home by officers from the Renqiu Domestic Security Division on September 23, 2014. She was taken to the Renqiu Procuratorate and released that day.

6. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Qingsheng Detained

Mr. Wang Qingsheng was arrested by agents from the local 610 Office and the Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co. Ltd., security section on September 29, 2014. He was taken to the Wujiahuayuan Brainwashing Center.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Fenglan Detained

Ms. Liu Fenglan, an employee of the Shouyun Iron Mine of Beijing, was arrested by officers from the Dachengjie Police Staton in Miyun County on September 26, 2014, for posting informational materials about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Miyun Detention Center.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Xiaochuan Arrested

Mr. Yang Xiaochuan from Jinchang City has lived away from his home for many years to avoid arrest. He was arrested at Lushun Port on September 28, 2014, when he was going to Penglai by ship to reunite with his family.

9. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Baoliang Detained

Ms. Wang Baoliang, in his fifties, was arrested on October 1, 2014, and taken to the Nanyang Detention Center, for informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is now being held in the Fangcheng Detention Center.

10. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Chunmei Arrested

Ms. Zhao Chunmei, who worked at the Dongfeng County Hospital, was arrested on September 29, 2014, by officers from the Dongfeng Domestic Security Division, for explaining facts about Falun Gong to patients and their families.
