This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Chinese Thanksgiving Day, fell on September 19. The hugely popular event is celebrated by Chinese people throughout the world on the 15 th day of the eighth month, during the full moon, on the Chinese calendar.

Practitioners express their gratitude for Master's boundless compassion
The following is only a small portion of the Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to Master, received by the Minghui website.
Practitioners in Pattaya, Thailand expressed their gratitude and sincere appreciation for Master's compassionate salvation: “Master, it is only because of your boundless compassion that we are able to practice Falun Dafa. Human language cannot express our appreciation for what you have done for us. We disciples will cultivate diligently and do the three things well.”
Falun Dafa practitioners in China's army, judicial system, education and finance departments sent greetings to the Minghui website by breaking through the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) internet firewall.
A practitioner who works as a school teacher in Shandong Province, China wrote: “Master, I will use Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to rectify my words and my deeds. I will teach children under my care to be good people and to follow the principles of Falun Dafa. Chinese people need Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. China needs Falun Dafa. We disciples will do the three things well and save more sentient beings.”
A practitioner in the Nanjing Military Region stated: “More and more people know that the CCP is an evil demon that damages human beings. It has destroyed Chinese traditional culture and morality and brought endless troubles to the Chinese people and people of the world. Those who know the facts, truly appreciate Master Li for saving them from the demon's clutches.”
Illegally imprisoned practitioners in the Shandong Provincial Women Prison stood united in expressing their thoughts to Master: “Although we are imprisoned, Master, please rest assured that we disciples will follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in our actions, and let everyone around us know the wonders of Dafa!”
Although the Chinese regime continues to persecute Falun Gong, many people have taken up the practice after discovering its beauty and healing effects.
A new, 82-year-old practitioner in China, expressed his gratitude to Master Li: “In April 2013, I found it difficult to breathe due to a respiratory ailment. My son took me to a local hospital for a thorough medical exam.
“After a long series of treatments, my condition had not improved. I decided that I was wasting my money so I vowed never to go back to the hospital again, no matter the consequences.
“A practitioner I know told me, 'You can practice Falun Dafa. Master Li would take care of you,' and thus, I gave Falun Gong a try. I read the Dafa books and practiced the exercises every day. Within two days, I could breathe normally again! Master Li purified my body. I firmly believe in Falun Dafa.
“Besides reading the books and practicing the exercises, I recite 'Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!' Three months after I began the practice, I noticed that several new teeth had started to break through my gum-line; my gray hair started turning black, and I felt very comfortable while walking. Some people who know me said that I looked younger and had more energy.
“The changes that I am experiencing in my mind and body, can not be bought for all the money in the world. It is Falun Dafa that gave me a new life. Countless words cannot express my gratitude to Master Li. I will retell my story to everyone I meet so more people can benefit from Falun Dafa!”
The gratitude expressed by practitioners around the world demonstrates that the Party's persecution of Falun Gong has failed miserably. Lies and violence cannot change a practitioners' heart or beliefs, nor can it stop the spread of Falun Gong.
People who know the facts receive good fortune
Falun Dafa practitioners use their time and resources to introduce the beauty of Falun Dafa to the public and to expose the CCP's crimes against humanity. This provides people a chance to make the right choice between kindness and evil.
Many greetings and expressions of gratitude to Master Li were from people who had learned the facts about Falun Gong and quit the Party and its affiliated organizations.
A villager who had survived a dangerous flood in Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province wrote: “My village experienced a heavy downpour on August 16, 2013. At around10 p.m., the water outside my home started to rise very quickly. 'Let's run to the mountain nearby,' my husband exclaimed in alarm.
“I suddenly recalled the words on a Falun Gong informational flier: 'If you find yourself in danger, sincerely recite, “Falun Dafa is great.” So, I knelt on the bed and said loudly with both of my hands in front of my chest, 'Master Li, please help us. Falun Dafa is great!' My 12-year-old daughter followed my lead and also started to recite the words.
“Immediately, the water outside stopped rising and then receded. After the flood subsided, we discovered that a huge drainage pipe weighing over 300 pounds had been washed up in front of our home, and trees about seven inches in diameter, had been strewn all over our back yard from the force of the floods.
“We looked around and saw that we had lost only three ducks and five chickens. Our grain storage facility and our firewood had remained intact. We truly appreciate Master Li for safeguarding our lives and our property. We will forever remember, 'Falun Dafa is great!'”
Many employees at the Shandong Steel Company have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They admire Falun Dafa practitioners for making it through 14 years of persecution; for following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their actions, for their high moral character, and for their selfless actions.
