(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Lixia, 52, from Dazhujia Village, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, had a wonderful life after she began practicing Falun Gong. Beginning in May 2008 however, personnel from the Domestic Security Division of Zhuozhou City and the Baichigan Township Police Station began harassing her at home repeatedly. They ransacked her house, confiscated her belongings, and arrested and detained her multiple times. Her mother died, depressed over Ms. Wang's imprisonment. Her children were so afraid that they dared not stay at home, and went to other cities to work. Her husband could not withstand the pressure from the long-term harassment and developed insomnia. Her entire family lived in fear.
Obtaining New Life Through Cultivating Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Before she practiced Falun Gong, Ms. Wang's life was miserable. Her husband had four older sisters and one younger, and because Ms. Wang had three daughters and no son, according to Chinese culture her husband's family tree was broken. Her in-laws were very resentful, hoping her husband would divorce her and remarry.
Her husband didn't leave her, so her in-laws gave them an extremely hard time. They even smashed their windows during a most bitter winter. They had to move out without any assistance from their parents. Their parents wrote a “resolution letter” to sever their familial ties and gave away all their money to their daughters. They even had the letter notarized.
Due to the tremendous pressure, Ms. Wang's heart was filled with resentment and hatred. She felt there was no hope. Stressed and angry, she developed angina and neurasthenia, as well as female problems that she had previously experienced during her three pregnancies. She was extremely depressed.
She thought about committing suicide or finding a quiet place to cultivate. But after inquiring, she was told that nowadays if you want to go to a temple, you have to be educated, understand a foreign language, and be pretty. When she heard this, she wondered, "How can this be genuinely cultivating?" She then gave up this thought.
One of her cousins began practicing Falun Dafa in 1999, and told her it was a true cultivation way that teaches people to be better. She didn't believe it and doubted that there could be such a good thing in the current chaotic society. At that time her husband was also studying qigong and had obtained a copy of the book Zhuan Falun, but hadn't read it. Based on what her cousin said, she decided to look at the book. She was deeply touched after reading it. She finally understood why her life was so tough, that it was due to her karma. She was very glad that she had attained the true Fa and could return to her origin.
She was no longer resentful, and her heart was filled with gratitude and happiness. She felt like she had become a different person and had been reborn in Dafa. She made a resolution to be diligent in cultivation and cultivate all the way to the end.
Through cultivation, all of her health problems disappeared, and she never needed another pill again. She also realized that a cultivator has no enemies and should use the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to measure oneself. She took her children to see her in-laws and dissolved the animosity between them. She also treated her husband's sisters with kindness, and as a result her entire family has become harmonious once again. She realized that without cultivating Dafa, she would not have been able to achieve this, and all these things were fortunes bestowed by Dafa. Without Dafa, all the happiness she had would not have manifested.
Persecuted Just for Being a Good Person
The upright Falun Gong cultivation practice is being wrongfully persecuted in China. Being a good person sometimes means having to suffer unimaginable tribulations.
Director Yang Yugang of the Domestic Security Division of Zhuozhou City, along with about six officers, climbed over a wall to get into Ms. Wang's home on August 8, 2008. Without showing any identification, they arrested her and took her to the Zhuozhou City Detention Center. Yang Yugang went to the detention center multiple times to interrogate her using torture, but didn't get what he wanted. On September 25, 2008, Ms. Wang was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
Ms. Wang was taken to Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. When they tried to maker her wear the prison uniform, she resisted. Two inmates, Zhu Liying and Liu Juan, stripped her, put the uniform on her, and locked her in a monitored room. One day Ms. Wang was discovered doing the exercises. Team captain Liu Ziwei and guard Shi Jiangxia immediately took her into a secret room, pulled the curtains, and brutally beat her. After Ms. Wang fell down, Liu Ziwei pulled her up by her hair with one hand and slapped her head and face with his shoe with the other. Shi Jiangxia shocked Ms. Wang's genitalia, breasts, and body with an electric baton. They didn't stop until they were exhausted from beating her.
Ms. Wang's face was covered with blood, and her clothing was soaked with blood. Fearing others would see it, Liu Ziwei changed Ms. Wang's clothes to conceal what they had done to her. Ms. Wang was then locked in a monitored room. Her right hand was cuffed to the upper bed rail, and she could not sleep for two days and nights. The handcuff was kept on even when she had to use the restroom. Later on, the handcuff was unlocked at night when she slept. She was restrained like this for about a month. Whenever she did the exercises, Liu Ziwei hit and slapped her head and face with a shoe sole. Ms. Wang was frequently beaten until her face was so swollen she could not open her eyes, and her hair had been pulled out in clumps. On one occassion when Ms. Wang refused to do slave labor, Liu Ziwei and inmate Zhu Liying took off her cotton jacket and whipped her back with the sole of a shoe. Ms. Wang's back turned black and purple, and she was later locked in a small cell for an entire night.
Because Ms. Wang always refused to do slave labor, Liu Ziwei ordered two inmates to watch her. She was not given enough food, only a bun and two cups of water each day. She was allowed to use the restroom only twice per day. She was not even allowed to buy food for herself. The two inmates didn't listen to her when she tried to tell them about Dafa. They shouted at her, beat her, and verbally abused her.
To resist the persecution, Ms. Wang started a hunger strike on the 2009 Chinese New Year, and was subsequently force fed. On the tenth day of her strike, all her quilts were taken away. It was snowing and her cell was icy cold. She slept on an icy cold bed board. Some of inmates were moved to tears when they saw her. Each time she was force fed, the guards and inmates took her to another room. If there was no one else there, they beat and yelled at her. Ms. Wang's bank cards were taken by the inmate, who did not return her money even after her forced labor term expired. Three months into her strike, Ms. Wang was reduced to a skeleton. Previously over 70 kg (154 lb.), she now weighed less than 35 kg (77 lb.). When the guards saw that she could not survive any longer, they gave her an infusion, which lasted until her forced labor term expired.
The day Ms. Wang was released from the labor camp, personnel from the Baichigan Township Police Station saw that she was barely breathing. They did not let her into their vehicle for fear being held responsible if she died. Ms. Wang eventually got in her family's car.
Upon returning home, Ms. Wangs' family barely recognized her. They were worried about how weak she had become. Nevertheless, under Master's benevolent protection and her family's careful nursing, she gradually recovered her health.
Through cultivating Falun Gong, Ms. Wang Lixia attained a healthy body and elevated her morality. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) violated the Constitution and the law in brutally persecuting her. Her experience is just one out of hundreds of thousands. Since the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, over 3000 Falun Gong practitioners have lost their lives, hundreds of thousands have been illegally sentenced to jail and forced labor, and countless numbers have been crippled and their families broken. The CCP and Jiang's thugs have gone against heaven and earth, and humankind. We hope that people with conscience will clearly recognize the party's evil nature, withdraw from the CCP organizations, and choose a wonderful future for themselves.
