(Minghui.org) According to a report by the Minghui website, Mr. Hua Lianyou, a Falun Gong practitioner from Tianjin, is in critical condition after an eight-month hunger strike to protest his arrest. A prison doctor has said that his internal organs are in a state of exhaustion, his condition is critical, and he could die at any time. When his family requested his immediate release, they were told, “He has to meet all of the official standards to be release for medical treatment. And that will not be considered until he is at death's door.” When the family asked for a definition of the so-called “official standards,” the prison official evaded the question and simply turned the conversation to other topics.
This was not the first time such a statement has been made by Gangbei Prison authorities in Tianjin. Early last year, prison chief Li Guoyu stated the same conditions to the family of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiangyang. His heart rate dropped to 40 beats per minute after he endured more than 300 days on a hunger strike to protest the cruel torture methods he was subjected to in the prison. Such an inhumane statement by the prison might sound unbelievable to the average person, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities have made it a common policy when dealing with Falun Gong practitioners. The victim's families were told this repeatedly.
It is widely known that CCP officials who have been sentenced to prison for corruption can easily be released for medical treatment soon after being jailed. Prison authorities simply overlook “official standards.” But the authorities do not hesitate to enforce the “official standard” for innocent Falun Gong practitioners, even when they are at death's door.
Mr. Hua is known as a joyful person with a warm and pleasant personality, who is always willing to give a hand to others who are in need of help. His wife, Ms. Tian Zongli, is also a Falun Gong practitioner. He recovered from a protrusion of the lumbar disc only three days after he began practicing Falun Gong.
Mr. Hua had been in two traffic accidents, and in one of them he broke one of the bones. He did not request any compensation from the driver, for which the driver was very grateful to Mr. Hua and Falun Dafa. The couple delivered newspapers to newspaper centers to make a living. They did their job very well and their employer was very happy with them. In 2001, their employers awarded them the title of “excellent employee.”
Mr. Hua was recognized as an excellent employee everywhere he worked during those years. After his latest arrest, his employer asked, “When will Old Hua be back to work?” Mr. Hua is a good person but the Chinese Communist regime has persecuted him, and even refused to release him when his internal organs were failing. This is a clear example of the nature of the CCP, which claims to “respect and safeguard human rights.”
This demonstrates the secret policies of Jiang Zemin, to “Defame their reputation, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically,” an act of genocide against practitioners of Falun Gong.
Many people might find it hard to believe that such a cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners exists in China. We have seen that the nature of the CCP constantly remains treacherous, inhumane, and cruel. To maintain its rule over China, the Chinese Communist regime will make illusive promises to gain the fancy of the people, but it will never change its course and be good.
We hereby ask people around the world to lend a helping hand so that Mr. Hua can be released and reunited with his family. We solemnly warn the officials who are involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners to be aware that they will certainly have to pay for what they have done. Karmic laws rule nature, and all people will ultimately have to pay for what they have done. Take the examples of Wang Lijun and Bo Xilai, who were both imprisoned during the fierce political infighting. We warn the perpetrators, whether they take caution for themselves or not, to at least be cautious for the future of their family. While there is still time, they are advised to stop persecuting innocent people.
