(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 2 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Ziwen Tortured, Then Sent for Emergency Treatment

Mr. Zhang Ziwen, 62, from Dongli District was arrested and transferred from Lhasa to Tianjin by the Dongli police on October 10, 2010. He was later sentenced to three years in prison. He was sent to the Binhai Prison in Tianjin at the end of September 2011. Because he did not give up his belief, he was tortured by the guards. He developed severe hypertension and has been hospitalized for emergency treatment.

2. [Tongliao, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhao Shuyun Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhao Shuyun was arrested at home by police on March 28, 2013. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yuping and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Li Yuping and her mother were arrested by officers from the Dadonglu Police Station on March 30, 2013.

4. [Wuzhi County, Henan Province] Ms. Zou Qingmei Detained

Ms. Zou Qingmei was arrested by Chen Jianghe and other Domestic Security Division officers on April 4, 2013. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, her computer, and other personal property. Ms. Zhou was sent to the Jiaozuo Detention Center.

5. [Yuanyang County, Henan Province] Mr. Lu Shuxing Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Lu Shuxing from Wuliuji Village was stopped and arrested by traffic police on November 26, 2012. He was sent to the Yuanyang Detention Center by officers from the Yuanyang Police Department.

6. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Lan Guangfei Detained

Officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Aohan Flag Police Department broke into Mr. Lan Guangfei's home on January 9, 2013. They arrested Mr. Lan and sent him to the Aohan Flag Detention Center.

7. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Ma Xiaoguang Tortured in Detention

On December 21, 2012, officers from the Chifeng Police Department went to Huanghuadianzi Village, Wulan Township, Aohan Flag, and arrested Mr. Ma Xiaoguang and five other practitioners. The practitioners were sent to the Aohan Flag Detention Center. The guards in the detention center interrogated Mr. Ma through torture. He is now very weak.

8. [You County, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Yunzhu Detained

Officers from the Domestic Security Division of the You County Police Department arrested Ms. Huang Yunzhu (about 50 years old) on the morning of April 18, 2013. She was sent to a detention center for a 15-day term.
