(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Zhongjie, a former lawyer at the Tiancheng Legal Office in Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province is being held at the Suihua Detention Center after being tried at the Beilin District Court. Her “crime”? Practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Liu and fellow Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhao were followed by Wang Xingyun from the Qing'an County Domestic Security Division and agents from the 610 Office on September 10, 2012. The two women were illegally arrested and taken to the Suihua Detention Center, where they were held for more than four months.
In January 2013, Ms. Liu lost consciousness and started twitching uncontrollably. Officials at the detention center notified her family and took her to a hospital. After a medical examination, it was found that she had suffered a stroke. Another practitioner, Ms. Zhou Guilan also had a stroke in Suihua Detention Center and passed away about six months earlier.
Ms. Liu's family took her home when she was released, where she was able to study the Fa and do the Falun Gong exercises again. As a result, her health soon recovered. However, officials from the Beilin District 610 Office charged Ms. Liu with harboring Ms. Zhao Min. They then forced Ms. Liu's family to take her to the Beilin District Court to verify some information, and promised not to imprison her.
When Ms. Liu arrived at the court with Ms. Zhao on March 5, 2013, they walked into a trial that had been secretly arranged for them. Judge Zhang Rui and four other officials from the Beilin District Court hurriedly read through the so-called charges and evidence brought against them, and the session was concluded within twenty minutes.
