(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xuefang and Ms. Fu Hong Illegally Sentenced to Prison Terms
Ms. Wang Xuefang and Ms. Fu Hong were sent to the Qingdao Detention Center. It was learned that Ms. Wang has been sentenced to a three-and-a-half year prison term, and Ms. Fu to three years of imprisonment.
2. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Guihua Still Detained
Ms. Zhao Guihua is a practitioner at the Dayetun Village in Liulonggou Township. She was arrested and sent to the Jinzhou Detention Center on December 19, 2011. After being sent to solitary confinement in early January 2012, Ms. Zhao had symptoms of illness. Officials extorted 50,000 yuan from her family and she returned home.
Police tricked Ms. Zhao into returning in June 2012 and continued holding her at the Jinzhou Detention Center.
3. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yu Honglin Detained
Mr. Yu Honglin was arrested on January 16, 2013, and is currently being held at Jiansanjiang Detention Center.

4. [Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Xixian Tortured in Detention and Released
When Ms. Zhu Xixian went home after Fa-study at midnight on October 25, 2012, Li Zhanliang (Political and Legal Affairs Committee head) and other officials, who were waiting near her home, arrested her and took her to a detention center. Officials also ransacked her home. After being tortured and interrogated for four days and nights, Ms. Zhu had developed symptoms of high blood pressure, heart disease, and edema in both legs. In addition, she was in a coma for nearly four hours. Despite her life-threatening condition, officials secretly sent Ms. Zhu to the Miluo Detention Center in another county.
Ms. Zhu has since returned home.
5. [Shanghai] Ms. Yuan Xiaolan and Mr. Zhang Xiaobing Detained
When Ms. Yuan Xiaolan and Mr. Zhang Xiaobing went to clarify the truth on the evening of January 19, Huangpu District police arrested her and detained her at the Huangpu District Detention Center.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Limei Sent to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison
Ms. Wu Limei was sent to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison about three weeks ago. Prison guards asked her family to visit and said she had a uterine tumor.
8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Qin Persecuted at the Guangdong Province Women's Prison
Ms. Wang Qin, a practitioner in her forties from Huanggang City in Hubei Province, had a design job at the Jilongquan Villa Corporation in Shenzhen City. A group of police agents arrested her at work on May 24, 2011 and confiscated her work computer. After being detained for over a year at the Longgang Detention Center in Shenzhen City, Ms. Wang was sentenced to a three-and-a-half year prison term by the Longgang District Court in Shenzhen City. Her family asked around and learned that she had been sent to the Guangdong Province Women's Prison on September 12, 2012. Her family was not allowed to visit or send clothing.
9. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Hong and Ms. Wang Fenghua Still Detained
Mr. Jiang Hong is a middle school teacher in Huashu Town. He and his wife, Ms. Wang Fenghua, were arrested on November 1, 2012. Officials confiscated personal belongings, including a computer and a printer. Officials sent her to the Linjiang City Detention Center.
10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Kun Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Chen Kun was sentenced to four years of imprisonment by officials from the Acheng District Court.
