(Minghui.org) An outstanding teacher has been held in the Chendu Detention Center for nearly two years without due process of law. Her parents recently went to the Procuratorate and were told that her case had been moved to a different court, but the authorities refused to provide any further information.

Ms. Liu Hui, 40, was a teacher at the Jinqin Road Elementary School. She was arrested at home on the evening of December 14, 2011. Her family received no notification of her arrest. After making multiple inquiries, in January 2012 her family learned that Ms. Liu had been illegally arrested. Officers from the Jinniu District Domestic Security Division submitted fabricated evidence to the Jinniu District Procuratorate in an attempt to intensify the persecution of Ms. Liu.

Ms. Liu went on a hunger strike to protest her arrest. Her family asked to see her, but were not given permission. They were told that officers from the Jinniu District Domestic Security Division did not allow visits.

Giving in to pressure from the Chinese communist regime, Ms. Liu's husband divorced her.

Ms. Liu Hui has been arrested many times, detained eight times, and sentenced to labor camp and prison terms. Instead of releasing her from Chuanxi Woman's Prison on October 11, 2006, she was transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center for three more years.

She lost her job, her identity, her family, and her basic rights. She was tortured and often faced critical health issues, including multiple organ failure.

Ms. Liu's parents are both in poor health. Her mother was hospitalized several times and her father suffers from high blood pressure. Her son is in high school. Her family needs her.
