Additional Persecution News from China – December 5, 2013 (26 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 34 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing] Mr. Lei Bifu Arrested

Mr. Lei Bifu, about 50 years old, was arrested at home by officers from the Linjiang Police Station on the morning of December 4, 2013.

2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Kai’s Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Li Kai was beaten by security officers from a local market and arrested by officers from the local police station on the morning of December 4, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Yiyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Arrested

Ms. Zheng, in her 60s, was arrested on the afternoon of December 2, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution.

4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shan Xinyan Detained

Ms. Shan Xinyan was arrested at home by director Yang of the Laishui Police Department, Dai Chunjie from the Political Security Subsection, and two dozen officers from the Chengguan Police Station on the evening of December 3, 2013. She was taken to a detention center.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Meihong Detained

Ms. Zhao Meihong was arrested at a local market by officers from the Hongdao Police Station December 4, 2013, when she was speaking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. Ms. Zheng was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Two Elderly People Arrested

Two elderly practitioners, Ms. Liu Jingluan and Ms. He, were reported and then arrested by officers from the Nanzhou Police Station on the morning of November 28, 2013, for distributing information about Falun Gong and the persecution. Officers also ransacked their homes.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ping Detained

Ms. Wang Ping was arrested by officers from the Shizhong District Shiliulihe Police Station on the morning of December 1, 2013, for distributing information about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to a detention center.

8. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Suhua and Ms. Li Zhurong Arrested

Ms. Yang Suhua and Ms. Li Zhurong were arrested in Tuqiao Town on December 4, 2013, when they were speaking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution.

9. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wei Qingli Arrested

Ms. Wei Qingli was arrested by officers from the local police station on the morning of December 3, 2013. Officers confiscated her PC, laptop computer, color inkjet printer, and MP3 player. The director of the police station took her to a detention center. She is being held at the Nongan County Police Department.

10. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Elderly People Detained

Ms. Sun Yezhen and two other elderly practitioners were arrested near the Jiujiang Development Zone on December 3, 2013 , for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. They are being held at the Yujiahe Detention Center.

11. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Guo Huizhi, Ms. Li Xiumin, and Mr. Guo Haidong were arrested by officers from the Xinkaikou Town Police Station on December 4, 2013. Their homes were ransacked and they are being held at the Xinkaikou Town Police Station.

12. [Shehong County, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Changming and Ms. Zhao Yulan were arrested on December 5, 2013.

13. [Shanghai] Ms. Xiao Wenlan Arrested

Ms. Xiao Wenlan was recently arrested by officers from the Hongkou District Police Station.

14. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Benju Arrested

Ms. Wang Benju was arrested by Li Jijun from the Yayuan Residential Committee and other police officers on the morning of November 26, 2013, while talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution. Her home was ransacked, and she was released later on.

15. [Raoyang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zang Yaoxia and Ms. Wang Xiuji Detained

Ms. Zang Yaoxia and Ms. Wang Xiuji were arrested by officers from the Raoyang County Police Department and Tongyue Village Police Station on the afternoon of November 14, 2013, for speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Tongyue Village Police Station and released that night.

16. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo was arrested on the afternoon of December 1, 2013, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jing Liang Detained

Mr. Jing Liang was arrested on December 3, 2013. He is being held at the Yaojia Detention Center.

18. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yin Wanzhi and Ms. Yan Fenghua Detained

Mr. Yin Wanzhi and Ms. Yan Fenghua were arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang Railroad Police Department on August 13 and 27, 2013. They are being held at Mudanjiang City Detention Center. Ms. Yan has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for several days.

19. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Xiulian Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Xiulian was arrested on December 3, 2013, when she was posting information about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

20. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Guolan and Ms. Jin Guoqin Arrested

Ms. Jin Guolan was arrested by officers from the Yantongshan Police Station on the evening of December 2, 2013, when she was distributing information about Falun Gong and the persecution. Her sister, Ms. Jin Guoqin, was arrested by officers from the same police station the next morning.

21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xia Yuanxin Detained

Mr. Xia Yuanxin, 63, was arrested this summer because he asked for the release of his nephew. His home was ransacked and he is being held at the Jinzhou Xinbei District Beisanli Detention Center. He is now very weak and has high blood pressure as a result of being tortured.

22. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Ji Arrested

Ms. Ji was arrested by officers from the Shahejie Town Police Station on the morning of December 2, 2013, for talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution.

23. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xiying Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiying was arrested at home by Yu Xiheng and others from the Town Party Committee on December 1, 2013.

24. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hao Xiangtang Detained

Mr. Hao Xiangtang was arrested on July 14, 2013. During the 25 days he was held in the Shahecheng Subdivision of the Criminal Police Division, he was interrogated and physically abused. He was handcuffed to an iron bench. He was forced to bend over and not allowed to lie down. He later was transferred to the Dongwang Police Station and deprived of sleep. He was taken to the Xingtai City No. 1 Detention Center on August 20, 2013.

25. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Haixia, Ms. Zhou Xiaoyan, and Mr. Shen Bingcai were arrested by officers from the Wenzhou City Police Department on December 2, 2013, for distributing information about Falun Gong and the persecution. They are being held at the Wenzhou City Detention Center.

26. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Jing Fengqin and Ms. Sun Fengqin Arrested

Ms. Jing Fengqin and her visitor Ms. Sun Fengqin were arrested at her home on November 27, 2013.
