(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Guantao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Yuzhi Died as a Result of Torture

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hao Yuzhi, 58 years old, was arrested by County Domestic Security Division agents on July 18, 2011. She was then taken to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp and persecuted for one and a half years. On September 6, 2012, she died as a result of physical abuse and torture.

2. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Yao Jianping and Ms. Hu Yan Sent to Prison

Ms. Yao Jianping and Ms. Hu Yan were arrested and taken to Xiangtan City Detention Center in August 2011. On February 15, 2012, Ms. Hu was secretly tried by Yuetang Court. On the morning of September 6, Xiangtan Detention Center officials sent Ms. Yao and Ms. Hu to Hunan Women's Prison.

3. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Yi Xinhua Sent to Forced Labor Camp

On the morning of August 16, 2012, officers including Chen Ziqiang from Jiuhua District Police Station and Liu Wang from the Comprehensive Management Office went to ransack the homes of Ms. Zhao Xiuying, Ms. Liao Jingming, Ms. Yi Xinhua and Ms. Liu Huilan in Tanghua Village, Xiangshui Township, and Chaolong Village. The police confiscated their Dafa books and Minghui Weekly publications, as well as other personal belongings. Ms. Yi 's computer and printer were confiscated. That same afternoon, four police officers took Ms. Yi back to Jintangwan Detention Center and detained her for 14 days. On the night of August 30, Ms. Yi was taken straight to the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City.

4. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Qiumin and Ms. Yu Xiaofan Arrested

On the afternoon September 7, 2012, Ms. Liang Qiumin was arrested and taken to Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp for a one year term. Ms. Yu Xiaofan was sent to Taihua Street Brainwashing Center in Shijiazhuang City.

5. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Tang Xiafang Held in Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Tang Xiafang was sentenced to one year of forced labor and held in Judong Forced Labor Camp in Nanjing.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ouyang Haiwen Physically Abused in Fanjiatai Prison

Last year, Hongshan Court sentenced Mr. Ouyang Haiwen to four years of imprisonment. He was sent to Fanjiatai Prison and now he has become extremely emaciated as a result of physical abuse and torture. When his family went to visit him, he could not sit upright on the stool, one side of his face was bruised and there was a large lump on the side of his face.

7. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shuyun Sent to Brainwashing Center

On the afternoon of August 30, 2012 Ms. Zhang Shuyun from No. 9 Oil Production Plant was arrested by six or seven people. She was then taken to Daqing No. 721 Brainwashing Center, where she was persecuted.

8. [Jining, Shandong] Ms. Wang Yonghui Harassed

On August 22, 2012, Ms. Wang Yonghui from Nantun Coal Mine was arrested by police and was later sent to Wang Village Brainwashing Center. She was sent home because a physical examination disqualified her. Since she returned home on August 30, the 610 Office has kept harassing her and attempted to force her to sign statements promising to stop practicing Falun Gong.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Jie's Home Ransacked; She Is Forced to Leave Home to Avoid Further Persecution

On the afternoon of September 7, 2012, Nanan District police broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Jie's daughter. They ransacked the place and took away Dafa books and some other belongings. As Ms. Zhang was not at home that day, she avoided arrest. At present, she has left home and is going from place to place.

On the same day, Ms. Zou Hualan and Mr. Hu Jian from Nanan District disappeared.

10. [Suzhou, Jiangsu] Ms. Wang Yuying Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuying, who was working in Suzhou, was arrested on the afternoon of September 9, while giving out flyers around Qingjianhu District.

11. [Weifang, Shandong] Ms. Zhang Zhaohong Jumps from the Building to Avoid Arrest

Ms. Zhang Zhaohong from Zhucheng left home and went from place to place to avoid persecution. On September 6, 2012, she was arrested in her house by police from Zhucheng. To avoid arrest, she was forced to jump from her apartment on the fourth floor. She lost consciousness on the spot and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

12. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuling Arrested

Domestic Security Division police arrested Ms. Zhou Xiuling on September 6, 2012.

13. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Meiling Held in Forced Labor Camp

On May 15, 2012, Ms. Zhang Meiling from Taoxu Town was reported on by Li Zhenpo while posting signs in public places. On June 6, she was arrested by Domestic Security Division agents and taken to Shandong No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp.

14. [Tianjin] Mr. Hua Lianyou and His Wife Ms. Tian Zongli to Be Tried on the Morning of September 11, 2012

15. [Dalian, Liaoning] Ms. Kang Yuying Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Kang Yuying was arrested on July 6, 2012. Recently when her daughter went to Yaojia Detention Center to visit her mother, she was told that Ms. Kang had already been sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp a month ago.

16. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tan Meili Detained

On August 17, 2012, Ms. Tan Meili from Kaifa District was arrested in Dean County. She was then taken to Dean Detention Center. Her family went to Dean County Police Department many times to ask for her release.

17. [Dalian, Liaoning] Mr. Chen Tao Arrested

On September 5, 2012, Mr. Chen Tao was arrested by officers from the Ganjinzi Police Station. His house was later ransacked, and the police confiscated three computers, two printers, two mobile phones, a bank card, around 3000 yuan in cash and other belongings.

18. [Huangshi, Hubei] Ms. Cao Guoping and Ms. Zhang Shufen Detained

Ms. Cao Guoping and Ms. Zhang Shufen were arrested on September 6 and taken to the Xinjia Hotel in Huangshigang.
