(Minghui.org) The Illinois WorldFest was held on September 8, 2012 at the Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. Falun Gong practitioners also participated in this annual event. They set up a booth in the exhibit hall to demonstrate the beauty of Falun Gong and raise awareness about the brutality of the persecution taking place in China.

Practitioners displayed informational materials about Falun Gong on a table and prepared two copies of signature collection forms this year. One asked two Illinois senators to support Senate Resolution No. 232 to stop the CCP's over-13-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong; the other was addressed to Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the UN and Michael Posner, the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, calling for the American government to take action to immediately expose and stop the CCP's criminal acts of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Many visitors listened to practitioners tell them about Falun Gong and the brutality of the CCP in the persecution. They signed their names on the signature collection forms to express their indignation against the CCP's atrocities and their support for the practitioners' efforts to end the persecution.
A Filipino-American chemist showed great sympathy for practitioners in China who suffer hardship and ordeals.
A Chinese-American engineer from Caterpillar Inc. developed a positive understanding of Falun Gong and saw the CCP for what it is, after listening to a practitioner explain how wonderful Falun Gong is and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tells lies and employs various torture methods to physically abuse and mistreat Falun Gong practitioners under the persecution.
An elderly man who just came from China to visit his relatives in the U.S. said that he had learned the facts about Falun Gong, and knew that Falun Gong is innocent and suffers persecution. He happily accepted a truth clarification brochure.
A blind man said that the pleasant [exercise] music led him to the booth. He was happy to learn about Falun Gong and accepted a flyer, saying that he would ask his family members to read the content for him.
More than a dozen visitors wanting to learn Falun Gong left their contact information.
