(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 30 cities or counties and in 14 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 37 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Xingyi Arrested

Mr. Yang Xingyi, from Zhihe Town, Pengzhou, was arrested on his way to drop off his child on the morning of July 3, 2012. That afternoon, the police went to his home with him in handcuffs and ransacked the place.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Qiongying Arrested

Ms. Huang Qiongying was reported for speaking with people about Falun Gong while she was grocery shopping in Yangma Town Market on the morning of July 3, 2012. She was later arrested and taken to the Yangma Police Station. She is being held at the station and the police did not allow her family to see her.

4. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Lixin Arrested and Severely Injured After Falling

Ms. Yu Lixin was followed and arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Mingshan Police Department on the morning of June 28, 2012. She was taken to the Pingshan Police Station. In the station, Ms. Yu fainted and fell from the second floor. She lost consciousness. She was diagnosed with lumbar fracture in three places. The police ransacked Ms. Yu's home and confiscated a computer, a watch, and a deposit book worth 10,000 yuan.

5. [Chenzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. He Jincui Arrested by 610 Office on July 3, 2012

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Haibin Secretly Taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Chen Haibin's family went to the Yaojia Detention Center to bring him some clothes on July 2, 2012. They were told that Mr. Chen had been taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor to serve an 18-month term.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yongju Detained

Ms. Zhang Yongju, 60, was arrested by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station on the afternoon of June 26, 2012. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

8. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jiang Yuying Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Jiang Yuying, about 60, was an employee of the Jingmen Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. The police followed her to her home and arrested her around July 1, 2012. She was taken to a brainwashing center located at the Jingmen Petroleum & Chemical Corporation No. 1 Hostel.

9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ma Xiquan Detained

Mr. Ma Xiquan, from the Longfeng District, was arrested on June 20, 2012. He is being held at the Changxi Detention Center.

10. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Han Shanhe Arrested

Mr. Han Shanhe was arrested on the street on the afternoon of June 14, 2012. He was taken to the Zoumaling Police Station and was beaten.

11. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Jicang Had to Leave Home After Serving One Year of Forced Labor

Mr. Zhao Jicang lives in Houchengwang Village, Wangzhuangji Town, Shen County, Liaocheng. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor on June 12, 2011, by the Wangzhuangji Police Station and village Communist Party secretary Zhao Wenchen. Zhao Wenchen and the police station extorted 1,600 yuan from Mr. Zhao's family on June 12, 2012, the due date of Mr. Zhao's term. Mr. Zhao was harassed by police officers after he returned home. He had to leave home to avoid the arrest.

12. [Jianshanjiang Farm, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Yanxiang Arrested

Ms. Li Yanxiang was reported for speaking with people about Falun Gong in front of the railway station on the afternoon of July 4, 2012. She was arrested and her home was ransacked.

13. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

About seven officers broke into Mr. Zhang Liping's home on the afternoon of July 1, 2012. The police confiscated many personal belongings. Mr. Zhang and his wife were arrested and taken to the Tai'an Police Staion.

Ms. Pan Yuxia was arrested by officers from the Fanjia Town Police Station on July 3, 2012. She is being held at the Huludao Detention Center.

Ms. Sui Guilan is a teacher of the Taiyangsheng Elementary School in Lishu District. She was arrested at the school by officers from the Pinggang Police Station.

16. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zha and Mr. Zhao Bu Taken to Shijiazhuang Brainwashing Center

Hemujing Town government personnel Wang Shutan and about nine officers from the Hemujing Police Station broke into the homes of Ms. Zha and Mr. Zhao Bu on the morning of July 4, 2012. The police arrested them and took them to the Shijiazhuang Brainwashing Center.

17. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Shuyun and Mr. Liu Zhihui Arrested

Ms. Li Shuyun and Mr. Liu Zhihui were arrested by officers from the Zhenhua Road Police Station on July 2, 2012, for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Xiliuzhuang Market.

18. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. An Jing and Her Husband Arrested

The Liaozhong Domestic Security Division chief Li Wei surrounded Ms. An Jing's home on the evening of May 10, 2012. The police pried open the door and ransacked the place. Ms. An and her husband were arrested and their current whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Hou Yu'an Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

Mr. Hou Yu'an was arrested by officers from the Huixian Domestic Security Division in September 2011. He has been held at the Huixian Detention Center since then. Mr. Hou was sentenced to eight years in prison by Huixian City Court on June 8, 2012. Mr. Hou has now filed an appeal against his conviction.

20. [Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Shi Meiqin Arrested

More than 30 officers including Shanwei City 610 Office personnel Wei Zewen surrounded Ms. Shi Meiqin's home early in the morning of July 3, 2012. The police broke down the door and arrested Ms. Shi. Ms. Shi's current whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Yuxiang and Ms. Fu Detained

Ms. Lu Yuxiang and Ms. Fu, from Binxi Town, Bin County, were reported for handing out Shen Yun DVDs in Rongxing Shopping Mall on July 5, 2012. They were arrested by officers from the Binxi Police Station and taken to the Bin County Detention Center.

22. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Shuiyuan Arrested

Mr. Li Shuiyuan and Ms. Liao were arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 4, 2012.

23. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] More Information on the Arrest of Ms. Gao Yan

Ms. Gao Yan, from Datun Village, Xietun Town, Wafangdian, was arrested by officers from the Xietun Town Police Station on June 2, 2012. She was beaten and her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center the next day.

24. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liao Xiaoping and Ms. Wang Chunmei Arrested

Ms. Liao Xiaoping and Ms. Wang Chunmei were arrested while handing out Shen Yun DVDs in western suburbs of Meicheng Town on the morning of July 4, 2012.

25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Guihua Arrested

Ms. Xu Guihua was reported while distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of June 24, 2012. She was arrested. She returned home at 6:00 p.m. that day.

26. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Zhu Shengli Taken to Majialong Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Zhu Shengli, from Xingang Town, was arrested while at home on the morning of March 23, 2012. He was sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and is being held at the Majialong Forced Labor Camp.

27. [Beijing] More Information on the Arrests of Mr. Bian Xinzhong and Ms. Du Xiangzhen

Mr. Bian Xinzhong and Ms. Du Xiangzhen, from Jingshan District, were arrested by officers from the Shijingshan Road Police Station on the afternoon of May 19, 2012, while handing out Shen Yun DVDs.

Legal Affairs Office of Shijingshan Police Department officer Fu Changyi notified their family to pick up the indictment papers issued by the Re-education Through Labor Bureau and sign them. Their family refused to sign. Fu then signed with the family member's name. Mr. Bian was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor, and Ms. Du was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

28. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Mei Lanhua, 68, Ms. Hu Baohui, 49, and Mr. Xu, in his 60's, were arrested on the afternoon of July 3, 2012, for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Shi'an Town, Xinye County. They are being held at the Xinye Detention Center.

29. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Shurong Detained

Mr. Li Shurong was arrested on June 19, 2012. He was issued 15 days of detention.

30. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Wenying Detained

Ms. Liu Wenying, 68, lives in Lingzhi Residential Building in Putuo District. Putuo District Police Department sent someone to follow her on May 27, 2012 and later arrested her. Ms. Liu is being held at the Putuo District Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was previously sentenced to three years in prison and incarcerated in the Shanghai Women's Prison where she was subjected to forced labor, intimidation and threats.

31. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Lu Yueling Taken into Custody

Ms. Lu Yueling was arrested at home on July 4, 2012. She is being held at the Lanzhou City Police Department Chengguan District Office.

32. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Anshu and Ms. Yang Zhiqiong Detained

Ms. Hu Anshu, 61, Ms. Yang Zhiqiong, 64, were arrested by officers from the Renhe Police Department, the Domestic Security Team, and the Renhe Police Station, on May 4, 2012, while handing out Falun Gong informational materials on Renhe Street. They are being held at the Wanyaoshu Detention Center.

33. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] More Information on the Death of Ms. Sun Xiuxia

Ms. Sun Xiuxia, 50, died on the afternoon of April 30, 2012, as a result of torture. She was transferred from the prison to the China-Japan Friendship Hospital on the same day to get “emergency treatment”. When Ms. Sun's family changed her clothes for her, they found that she was stiff from the waist down. Her lower body was covered with tissue paper and towels and her belly button and legs were discharging white fluid. The police officer did not allow Ms. Sun's family to take photos, and took away the photos that had been taken.

34. [Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Hong Yizhao, Ms. Liu Zhiping, and Mr. Hou Farong were arrested at home on July 3, 2012. Their homes were ransacked and their current whereabouts are unknown.
