(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Qingquan from Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province was illegally arrested on April 23, 2011 and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment at Shilingzhi Prison in Siping City in the beginning of 2012. His wife, Ms. Jiang Xiaoli, lodged an appeal with the Intermediate Court of Siping City.
Recently a court investigator went to Gongzhuling City to check the facts. To his surprise, he found that director Li Jianqi and political instructor Xu Zhiwei of the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division fabricated evidence to frame Mr. Yu. He said angrily, “The Domestic Security Division is just trying to make trouble! Without any material, it just tried to patch up some evidence falsely!”
Because they practice Falun Gong, Mr. Yu and Ms. Jiang put emphasis on morality and do kind things. They were filial and took care of their parents, who are over 80 years old. At about 10 a. m. on April 23, 2011 they were both arrested at home by personnel from the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division including Wang De, Li Jianqi, and Xu Zhiwei. The practitioners' parents suddenly lost their caretakers and mental support. They cried everyday.
Mr. Jiang's mother, over 80 years old, had no place to go for help. She looked at the empty home of her daughter and cried, “They are both good people, and never did anything against their consciences. They were nice to everyone. My husband and I were taken care of by them; they washed our clothes, shopped for groceries, cleaned up our home, and did miscellaneous things for us. Now they are detained—how do we live on? People who gamble and solicit prostitutes are not arrested. My daughter and her husband are such good people, why are they arrested? What law or reasoning can explain this?”
The excuse used by the police for arresting Mr. Yu and his wife was that after a long period of tracking them, the police “found out” that they practiced Falun Gong, made truth-clarifying materials, and clarified the facts about Falun Gong to people. Therefore, personnel from the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division, including Wang De, Li Jianqi, and Xu Zhiwei ransacked their home, taking away their personal belongings, including a computer, a printer, Dafa books, and pictures of Master Li.
According to a regulation from the communist regime—not according to the law—once truth-clarifying materials reach a certain amount, they can be used as a qualifier for “sentencing to jail terms.” In order to reach that amount, Li Jianqi, Xu Zhiwei and their colleagues ridiculously tore apart a truth-clarifying booklet page by page and counted each page as one piece of “evidence” to frame Mr. Yu. In the end, Mr. Yu was sentenced to seven years in prison.
In an effort to rescue her husband, Ms. Jiang Xiaoli lodged an appeal with the Intermediate Court of Siping City and the court accepted this case. Recently the court investigator went to Gongzhuling City to check the facts. He found out that director Li Jianqi and political instructor Xu Zhiwei of the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division fabricated evidence to frame Mr. Yu. He said angrily, “The Domestic Security Division is just trying to make trouble! Without any material, it just tried to patch up some evidence falsely!”
In fact, Article 307 of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s Criminal Law states, “A person who, by violence, threat, bribe or any other manner, hinders a witness from providing evidence or incites another person to provide false evidence, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention; and, if the circumstance is serious, to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years and not more than seven years. A person who assists the party concerned to destroy or forge evidence shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention if the circumstance is serious. A judicial officer who commits a crime under the preceding two paragraphs shall be sentenced heavily.”
Nevertheless, under the CCP's rule, many judicial officers do not obey the law and the good people obeying the law are persecuted. During the past 13 years of the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, such cases of fabricating or faking evidence are great in number. The police, procurators, and judges who have lost their consciences deem good to be bad and righteous to be evil in wrongfully sentencing Falun Gong practitioners. All these are the CCP's debt to Falun Gong practitioners who practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and it has to pay back this debt in the end.
