(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhu Mingzhu, a retired military engineer in her late 70s from Wuhan City, recovered from her chronic diseases after she started practicing Falun Gong. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, she has had her house searched and been illegally arrested and detained several times. At about 9 a.m. on the morning of December 14, 2011, the director of the Jiangan District Public Security Bureau and six plainclothes police officers searched her home again.

Serious Chronic Illness Disappeared

Ms. Zhu was born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, in 1934. She was engaged in research on tank radios at the Research Institute of Wuhan Municipal Zhongyuan Machinery Plant and had won several awards for science and technology research. However, she suffered from many chronic health problems, such as sciatica, osteoporosis, cervical hypertrophy, bradycardia, anemia, dizziness, and insomnia. She went to see many doctors but that achieved little result.

On October 19, 1995, then-retired Ms. Zhu went to Binjiang Park in Hankou. She heard beautiful music and found people practicing Falun Gong. When she saw the photo of Falun Gong's founder, she was stunned because she instantly knew that this was the Teacher she had been looking for in her dreams. She started to learn Falun Gong right away.

Ms. Zhu was in her 60s at the time. Every time she did the sitting meditation, she found it very difficult, but she still persevered. The hardest thing for her to overcome was changing her human mindset. She was used to materialism, atheism and scientific thinking, and couldn't completely come to terms with the principles of Falun Gong. However, as she kept practicing the exercises and studying the teachings, her dizziness and sciatica disappeared, and her heart beat became normal. She then recovered from her chronic diseases. It was a miracle.

Clarifying the Truth in Beijing: “Falun Dafa Is Good!”

In July 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong. Lies and slander from the CCP propaganda spread everywhere. Ms. Zhu, who had gone through all sorts of political campaigns in China, said, “In the anti-rightest political campaign, I didn't dare to speak out because I had just started to work and wanted to keep my job. During the Cultural Revolution, I didn't speak out because I had two young children and was afraid of them being implicated. During the June 4th Massacre, I didn't dare to speak out for the students because I was about to retire and didn't want to bring trouble to myself. But this time I can no longer keep silent, because four years of my personal experience practicing Falun Gong has proven that Falun Gong is a great and virtuous practice.”

On December 12, 2000, Ms. Zhu got on a long-distance bus and, after a few transfers, arrived at Tiananmen Square. It was freezing in Beijing, and the atmosphere on Tiananmen Square was foreboding. The sirens from police cars could be heard all over, and plainclothes police stared at every passerby. Ms. Zhu went to the center of the square and unfolded a banner high above her head that said “Restore My Teacher's Reputation.” She shouted from the bottom of her heart, “Falun Dafa is good!”

Plainclothes police instantly swarmed around her from every direction. One officer grabbed the banner from behind her. Another policeman hit her from the front, and she fell down. Other officers then picked her up and put her into the police car.

On December 16, 2000, Ms. Zhu was taken to the Women's and Children's Detention Center. This was the first time she had ever been held in a detention center; she was 66. Agents from the Jiangan District 610 Office then transferred her to the brainwashing center in the Jiangan District Detention Center, where she was tortured and had a heart attack. She was then sent to the 161 Hospital. Later on, the authorities extorted 1,000 yuan from her family.

House Ransacked Twice

Since many people were deceived by the lies propagated by the CCP, Ms. Zhu went to put up posters clarifying the facts about Falun Gong on July 21, 2001. However, plainclothes police found her and took her to a detention center, where she was subjected to brainwashing. In detention, she became very weak and unable to walk. On August 12, 2001, officials told her family to pick her up.

After returning home, Ms. Zhu wrote letters to government departments at all levels to explain the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. On August 15, 2008, six men and two women from the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau, Jianan District Public Security Bureau, and Chezhanlu Police Station broke into her house in Qingyuan. They took her Falun Gong books, envelopes and stamps, because during the Beijing Olympic Games people were not allowed to mail letters. Ms. Zhu told the officers about the beauty of Falun Gong and gave them Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

At 9 a.m. on December 14, 2011, a female director of the Jiangan District Public Security Bureau and six plainclothes officers broke into her home again and confiscated personal property worth a total of over 7,000 yuan, including a laptop, two printers, a CD burner, a recorder, over 300 DVDs, 100 VCDs, Falun Gong books and 730 yuan in cash.
