(Minghui.org) On March 17, 2012, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland held an event in Helsinki, introducing Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, which is based on the principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. They also exposed the 12-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

People stop to learn about persecution of Falun Gong
Many passersby learned about the cruel persecution taking place in China today by reading the leaflets and information on the display panels. Many of them expressed their concern and sympathy and praised practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution .
A young man signed the petition calling for an end of the persecution after he read the flyers. When a practitioner explained to him about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, he said, “How terrible it is! I will tell all my relatives and friends about this. I will post the messages on Facebook, to let more people know the crimes against humanity happening in China.” He then took pictures of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong on the display panels.
Shaoyu Jin is a practitioner from North Finland. She has been calling for attention to her mother, Chen Zhenpin. Ms. Chen was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment in a closed-door sham trial held in Jinshui District Court in Henan Province for her perseverance in practicing Falun Gong. Prison guards did not allow her relatives to visit her because she refused to give up her belief. Shaoyu held up a panel that said, “Please help rescue my mother,” catching the attention of many passersby. Shaoyu said she would continue to appeal for her mother’s freedom until she is released.
