( On Jan. 31, 2012, Former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) David Kilgour and international human rights lawyer David Matas jointly wrote Prime Minster Stephen Harper, urging him to ask the Government of China to stop the export of products of slave labour to Canada. Harper has accepted an invitation to visit China.

( On January 13, 2012, Mr. Lin Zehua's family went to the Jiamusi Prison to visit Mr. Lin. An inmate carried him on his back, since Mr. Lin had become paralyzed and lost his ability to walk as a result of the persecution in 2008, while incarcerated.
