(Minghui.org) Ms. Ji Guangxiu is a 70-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Shuanggang Street, Luyang District, Hefei City in Anhui Province. A group of people burst into Ms. Ji's home on October 9, 2012 while she was cooking and ransacked it. Those involved in the illegal search are Yang Jiabin and another two officers from Luyang Police Department in the Luyang District of Hefei; Xu Mingzhao and Wu Deping, deputy directors of Shuanggang Police Station; a police officer with the last name of Li; and Zhou Guangxia and Zhang Wei from Shuanggang Residential Committee in Luyang District.
When Xu Mingzhao, deputy director of Shuanggang Police Station, came into the house, he asked Ms. Ji if she knew Zheng Demin (a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuanggang Street in Luyang) and whether she took truth clarification materials from her. Ms. Ji replied: “No.” Then one of the officers showed her an unsigned search warrant document before ransacking her home.
Officer Yang Jiabin from the Luyang Police Department in Hefei ordered Xu Mingzhao and two police officers to start searching the house. They confiscated Ms. Ji's Dafa books, truth clarification materials and other items. Ms. Ji was then taken to Shuanggang Police Station, and was interrogated there from the morning until 8:00 p.m. During her interrogation, she was not allowed to eat. They intended to detain her for 15 days, but she was to serve her term under house arrest. Ms. Ji's family has taken her home. None of her confiscated items were returned to her.
Ms. Li Wenyu, 45, living in the Forestry Department Building, was arrested by officers from the Luyang 610 Office and Yimin Street Police Station on October 16, 2012 while she was working. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Liu Shu'e is about 80 years old, living in the Metallurgy Department Building. Her home was ransacked by the same group of people on the same day. Her Dafa books and truth clarification materials were confiscated. Ms. Liu was asked about the source of the truth clarification materials, but she did not provide any information to them.
Similar incidents also took place in Baohe District, Hefei.
