(Minghui.org) A number of Falun Gong practitioners in Chifeng have recently been arrested and detained. Among them, Jia Guanglin, an upstanding man from Jianchangying Village, was taken to the Pingzhuang Detention Center, simply because he was a Falun Gong practitioner.
Free of Illness, a Good Man
Before Mr. Jia began practicing Falun Gong, he suffered from severe bronchitis, emphysema, and other diseases. He had to take medication every day and an injection once a month. A patient with the same disease in the same village had passed away a long time prior. Because Mr. Jia practices Dafa, all of his diseases have vanished, and he has become very healthy.
Since he began practicing in 1996, he has behaved strictly according to Dafa's requirements and has become a well-respected man in the village. Prior to Dafa practice, he was addicted to alcohol, was drunk every day, quarreled with his wife endlessly, and was a constant annoyance to the neighbors all day long. As as result, his family was almost destroyed. After he became a Dafa practitioner, he quit drinking after decades of being an alcoholic. He has since had a peaceful and happy family. Mr. Jia Guanglin now lives in harmony with his neighbors, takes initiatives to help the neighborhood on big and small matters, and never cares about his losses.
Arrested and Persecuted
At noon on October 18, 2012, seven to eight officers from the Yuanbaoshan District Public Security Bureau, Yuanbaoshan District Interpol brigade, and the Jianchangying Village Police Station arrested Jia Guanglin and his wife, ransacked their home, and turned things upside down, including the farmhouse outhouse. The police took a lot of personal property, 10,000 yuan in cash, and caused lossed over 20,000 yuan loss to the Jia family. At the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center, they even stole 40 yuan in petty cash from his wife's pocket.
Mr. Jia's wife was sent home on the night of October 19. Mr. Jia is still being held in the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center, and his illegal arrest has been approved.
Practitioners Mr. Xue Xiangshan and Ms. Yang Junzhi of Yuhuang Village, Yuanbaoshan District were arrested by officers from the Malin Police Station, the Yuanbaoshan District Public Security Bureau, and the Yuanbaoshan District Interpol brigade on the night of October 18, and their homes were ransacked. They are being held at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center. Ms. Wang Fenghua and Di Cuixia of Bajia Village are also being detained there.
