(Minghui.org) Ms. Lu Caixia teaches in Langfang, Hebei Province. On July 26, 2012, at about 7 p.m., she was followed by non-police personnel hired by the Guangyang Police Department. They arrested her and proceeded to ransack her home, calling it “maintaining stability for the 18th Congress.” She is now detained at the Langfang Brainwashing Center. To obtain justice, her family hired attorneys who acted in accordance with the law. However, public security departments shifted responsibility away from themselves and treated the attorneys roughly.
Ms. Lu Caixia, 58, taught at the Langfang 8th Elementary School. After she started to practice Falun Gong in 1995, she became very healthy. She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance at all times while at work. She was greatly praised by her supervisors, colleagues, students, and parents. She was once given the award of “Excellent Teacher.” After the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in July 1999, Ms. Lu went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for one month. During the detention, her students missed her very much. A student cried in the class and said: “Ms. Lu, I miss you. Come back soon!” When she walked in the classroom again, her students gave her a long round of applause.
Ms. Lu was detained in forced labor camps twice because she practices Falun Gong. She was detained and harassed many times. Her husband was also threatened and his salary was once suspended. Ms. Lu was arrested and detained again on July 26, 2012. Her husband did not get any official notification. After he learned that she was detained in the brainwashing center, he requested to see his wife many times. But all of his requests were refused. He hired two attorneys from Beijing to seek justice.
On the afternoon of August 13, 2012, the two Beijing attorneys followed the normal procedures. They went to the Langfang Brainwashing Center first and requested to meet Ms. Lu. After they explained the situation to the entrance guard, the guard called someone in the brainwashing center then said to the attorneys: “Here we are only in charge of detention. You should go to the Langfang Police Department to inquire about what you want to know.”
The attorneys went to the police department. The entrance guard notified the domestic security division and told the attorneys that Chief Feng had gone to Beijing. At that time, the attorneys received a call from Wang Huijun, who works in the Stability Maintenance Office of Guangyang District Police Department, saying he would meet them in the brainwashing center.
Outside of the brainwashing center accompanied by Ms. Lu's family, the attorneys talked to Wang Huijun and other guards. Wang Huijun asked Ms. Lu's family: “Who allowed you to hire attorneys? You can meet Lu Caixia after she writes a guarantee statement to give up the practice of Falun Gong.”
Wang then said to the attorneys: “Falun Gong was set as 'force against China' by the government in 2004. As attorneys, where do you stand on this issue? We can discuss this alone when you come next time.”
The Beijing attorneys said, “As attorneys, we uphold justice. We will sue whoever violates the law. All people are equal before the law. If you say the government has set Falun Gong as a 'force against China', please present the relevant documents.”
Wang was speechless. In response to Wang the attorneys said: “You are threatening us.”
On the afternoon of August 23, 2012, the Beijing attorneys went to the Langfang Procuratorate and explained the situation. The guard made a phone call then said, “The person you want to meet is not around.” When the attorneys asked the guard to sign and accept the letter of accusation, the guard refused to take the letter. The attorneys had to mail the letter from a post office.
When the attorneys called Wang Huijun and requested to meet Ms. Lu Caixia again, Wang Huijun said he had to ask for instructions from a higher authority and he would call the attorneys the following week. The attorneys followed the normal procedures but the relevant departments shifted responsibility among each other and even treated the attorneys poorly.
Ms. Lu Caixia's family was persecuted by the CCP because they firmly practice Falun Dafa. Her brother Lu Chenglin was persecuted to death at the age of 38. Her son Yan Sitong is under 18, but he was brutally persecuted in a forced labor camp. Her sisters Lu Fengling and Lu Fengyun were sentenced to prison and a forced labor camp, respectively.
