Additional Persecution News from China – September 8, 2012 (26 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 25 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qu Jinchun and Others Arrested

Ms. Qu Jinchun and Ms. Dong from Changchun were arrested while distributing Shen Yun DVDs in Luyuan District on the afternoon of September 6, 2012 by officers from Puyang Street Police Station. The officers ransacked their homes and also confiscated their computers and printers. Ms. Qu was illegally detained at the Weizigou Detention Center and Ms. Dong was released.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Yingjie Arrested

Ms. Yu Yingjie from Changchun was arrested by officers from Jianshe Street Police Station on the evening of September 6, 2012. The police also confiscated her cell phone. Later on Ms. Yu escaped.

4. [Nongken, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Congxia Arrested

Ms. Zhu Congxia from Qixingpao Farm, Jiusan Branch of Heilongjian Province was arrested on the evening of September 1, 2012 while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. The police also ransacked her home. Ms. Zhu was later released. However, on the afternoon of September 2, Ms. Zhu was illegally detained when she went to the police department asking for the return of her cell phone. She was later sent to the Jiusan Detention Center.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Ms. Li Guizhen

Ms. Li Guizhen was arrested on July 22, 2012. She has been sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

6. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Zhiguo and Others Arrested

Mr. Chen Zhiguo, Ms. Haiyan, Mr. Liu Guibo, Mr. Shang Erliang and others, all from Hulundao and Xingcheng region, were arrested by officers from Hulundiao Domestic Security Team and Police stations in Xingcheng on September 7, 2012. They confiscated Mr. Chen's computer.

7. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Guangwu Arrested

On the afternoon of September 6, 2012, Mr. Chen Guangwu from Yanji City was arrested at home. His hands were cuffed at the time of arrest.

8. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Wenyan Arrested

On the early morning of September 7, 2012, the director of Xiaochengzi Town Police Station, Kangping County, Shenyang City, Zhao Hongjiang and others broke into Ms. Liu Wenyan's home and arrested her.

9. [Qianguo County, Jilin Province] Mr. Leng Zhenhui Arrested

 

Mr. Leng Zhenhui was arrested by officers from Qianguo County Domestic Security Department and Taohaotai Town Police Station on September 4, 2012. He is being illegally detained at the Jilin Province Brainwashing Center.

10. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Mr. Ma Zhichai from Jiyuan City, Henan Province Died on August 1 as a Result of Persecution

11. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Fazhi Arrested

Mr. Liu Fazhi and his wife Ms. Wang Rui were arrested by officers from the 610 Office of Jiyuan City and Jiyuan Police Department near the end of August, 2012. In early September, Ms. Li Yuping was arrested by officers from Jiyuan City.

Ms. Zhuxiu Qin from Quqi Village, Beimeng Town was arrested by officers from Changyi Domestic Security Team and Beimeng Town Police Station on the morning of September 6, 2012.

Ms. Zhao Changfen and Ms. Tang from Lutou Town, Longkou City were arrested by officers from Lutou Police Station while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Lutou Farmer's Market on September 5, 2012. Ms. Zhao was released the same afternoon. Ms. Tang was cuffed and shackled by police and was tortured at Lutou Police Station.

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Kaoyi and His Wife Arrested

On the morning of September 6, 2012, Officers from Hanting District, Weifang City broke into the home of Mr. Sun Kaoyi from Sunjiayangmeng Village and arrested Mr. Sun and his wife Ms. Li Shuhong.

Ms. Zhang Suzhen from Kuiwen District, Weifang City was arrested and sent to a brainwashing center in early September, 2012.

Mr. Chen Yuan, 34, and Mr. Su Guangchao, 67, from Leizhou City, Guangdong Province were arrested on August 3, 2012 while distributing Shen Yun DVDs. They are illegally detained at the first and second Detention Centers of Leizhou City. Their families are not allowed to visit them.

21. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Wei Illegally Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Mr. Zhang Wei from Xiangtan, Hunan Province, who worked at Nanhai District, Foshan City of Guangdong Province, was arrested by officers from Guicheng Police Station on December, 2012 while distributing truth clarification materials at Guicheng Town, Nanhai District. He was illegally detained at Shishan Detention Center and recently sentenced to seven years in prison.

22. [Xingren County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Dengqiao Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Wang Dengqiao from Xingren County was arrested in Pan County by officers from the Xingren County Domestic Security Team on August 10, 2012. He was then sentenced to one year of forced labor and is being held at the Guizhou Province Forced Labor Camp.

23. [Xintian County, Hunan Province] Ms. Jiang Meilan Arrested

On the morning of September 7, 2012, officers from the Xintian County Domestic Security Team broke into Ms. Jiang Meilan's home and arrested her. Ms. Jiang was illegally sent to Lingling Brainwashing Center in Yongzhou.

24. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Illegally Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Zuo Xiuyun from Fuzhou City was illegally sentenced to three and a half years in prison on August 21, 2012 by Jin'an District Court of Fuzhou City. Mr. Zuo Fusheng was sent to Fuqing Prison of Fujian Province on August 15, 2012.

25. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Yongqing Arrested

Ms. Yu Yongqing, 56, from Suining City was arrested by the patrol officers from Tianfeng Street Police Station on September 6, 2012 while clarifying truth about Falun Gong at Chuanzhong Supermarket.
