(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

The following cases recount the unethical and illegal activities of policemen and others in Balinzuoqi, Inner Mongolia, who actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

1. Liu Zixiao, Officer from Huajialaga Township Police Station

Liu Zixiao, male, was an officer from the Huajialaga Township Police Station in Balinzuoqi. On the morning on July 21, 1999, Liu and police station director Li Bing went to a Falun Gong practitioner's house in Shengli Village, Huajialaga Township. They drove out the practitioners, who'd just finished the Falun Dafa exercises, and confiscated several Falun Dafa books, lecture tapes, a portable answering machine, and a camcorder. That same month, Liu and Li went to a practitioner's house in Shengli Village and tried to force him to sign a statement renouncing Falun Gong. The following describes some of his persecution activities.

At 6 a.m. on June 23, 2007, Falun Gong Ms. Yang Cuixing was illegally arrested and taken to the Baiyingou Township government in Balinzuoqi. She was tortured and pressured to give up her Falun Dafa practice. Ms. Yang had two relatives in Baiyingou Township who were teachers. They bought meals for those who were monitoring her to try to make things easier for her. Ms. Yang escaped in the process. Wang Xiujun and Xing Shuxin threatened Ms. Yang's family, saying that her two relatives would lose their wages unless she returned. Ms. Yang was subsequently forced to report back to the authorities, but was then taken to the Chifeng Brainwashing Center and tortured. In October 2007, Ms. Yang was arrested on her way home and taken to a detention center. Detention center officials extorted 5,000 yuan ($790 USD) from her family, but they still tortured her for ten days in a brainwashing center in Baiyingou Township government before releasing her. A year later, Ms. Yang had only 4,000 yuan returned to her.

On October 30, 2007, Ms. Li Shengjun was released from the Huhehaote Women's Forced Labor Camp. Xing Shuxin picked her up at the camp, but instead of taking her home, he took her to the Baiyingou Township Brainwashing Center. Ms. Li was tortured by Jiao Xiufeng from Chifeng (tel: +86-476-6259653).

On January 3, 2008, Ms. Wang Xiaoyan was released from the Huhehaote Women's Forced Labor Camp. However, Xing Shuxin and Lei Yugang (secretary of Dongcheng District, Lindong Town) took her to Chifeng, where they pressured her to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Dafa. That evening, Chen Xiaodong from the Chifeng 610 Office promised to give her her retirement insurance and let her return to work. When she got home, the basic insurance she used to have was canceled and nothing Chen promised was true.

In February 2008, Ms. Li Shujie and Ms. Li Yufen were released from the Huhehaote Women's Forced Labor Camp. Xing Shuxin picked them up and took them to a guest house in Chifeng. Xing and Chen Xiaodong from the Chifeng City 610 Office subjected them to brainwashing in an attempt to force them to sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.
