Additional Persecution News from China – October 5, 2011 (8 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in eight cities or counties in five provinces. According to this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least two practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Jiangyue and One Other Arrested and Imprisoned

Ms. Wang Jiangyue, around 50 years old and from Tianmen City, along with Ms. Hu Zhaoxiang and several other practitioners, were speaking with people about Falun Gong and distributing truth clarification materials in Henglin Town on September 17, 2011, when someone reported them to police. Ms. Wang and Ms. Hu were arrested. Ms. Hu's family managed to rescue her, and secured her release on September 20. Ms. Wang was held at the Tianmen City No. 1 Detention Center for about three days, then transferred to the Hongshan District Women's Prison.

2. [Tianjin] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Lu Shuying and Ms. Zhang Guiyun

Ms. Lu Shuying and Ms. Zhang Guiyun from Tianjin have been persecuted many times. Ms. Lu was subjected to forced labor twice, and otherwise imprisoned once. Ms. Zhang was arrested several times. The first time she was subjected to forced labor her term was extended to five years. She is in the Tianjin Women's Prison where she has developed symptoms of atrophic gastritis. She is emaciated and her mental state is dismal.

Ms. Kong Fanju from Guotun Village, Daxin Township was arrested on September 19, 2011. She was sentenced to a one-year term at the Shandong Province No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp.

7. [Fengning County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guilan Living Away from Home--Her Family and Relatives Often Harassed

Ms. Liu Guilan from Sadaigoumen Village, Fengning Manchu Autonomous County has lived away from home to avoid persecution since the persecution of Falun Gong started. Village officials and County and City 610 Office agents have looked for her everywhere and constantly harass her relatives to obtain information about Ms. Liu.

We have recently learned that Wuhan City 610 Office agents and officers from the Wuhan City Police Department's Domestic Security Division have concocted a case in an attempt to file a lawsuit against nine practitioners at the Wuchang District Procuratorate. The practitioners are Zhang Weijie, Zhang Su, Li Guohua, Xiong Weiming, Xia Yang, Zhu Chunlian, Feng Zhen, Feng Yun, and Han Shuhua.
