(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Ji Xiaodong is a civil servant with the Local Taxation Bureau of Aohan County, Chifeng City. All of his colleagues have praised him for being a good person and for his outstanding professional abilities. As a Falun Gong practitioner, however, he has been repeatedly persecuted.

From the end of 1999 to July 2001, Mr. Ji was imprisoned in Chifeng City Forced Labor Camp and Tumuji Forced Labor Camp. After being released he tried to clarify the facts about the persecution in public and was again arrested and sentenced; he was incarcerated in Chifeng Prison for five years.

On the morning of July 20, 1999, Aohan County Police Department Head Zhang Xiaoxin told Mr. Ji and several other assistants from the local Falun Gong practice sites to come to the police department. Zhang said that the CCP had banned Falun Gong and Zhang wanted them to promise not to appeal for Falun Gong. Mr. Ji refused.

That evening, about 30 local practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. They were intercepted by police on Tiananmen Square the next day. On July 25, Mr. Ji and others were escorted back to Aohan, handcuffed ,and detained. On July 31, he was released after having 200 yuan extorted from him by policeman Gong Chuanxing.

Mr. Ji Xiaodong went to Beijing again on October 1, 1999, to appeal for Falun Gong. He was arrested and detained in the Xicheng District Detention Center in Beijing, then escorted back to Aohan by policemen Gong Chuanxing and Xiao Yuguang of Aohan County Police Department, deputy head Meng Fanjiang of the Taxation Bureau, and driver Li Mingjun. On October 6, head Wang Fenglai of Chifeng City Taxation Bureau fired Mr. Ji and issued a citywide document.

Aohan County Police Department head Zhang Xiaoxin and political commissar Qin Fengshan collaborated to put Ji Xiaodong into Chifeng City Labor Camp for two years of forced labor. Under pressure, Mr. Ji's wife divorced him.

In Chifeng City Labor Camp, the authorities demanded that Mr. Ji write a "thought report," which he did not do. Later he was transferred to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp, where he was forced to do 15 hours of slave labor every day.

Mr. Ji was released on July 23, 2001. Since he was steadfast in his belief and refused to be "transformed," the Aohan County Local Taxation Bureau continued to deprive him of his job. Mr. Ji stayed in a fellow practitioner's home and hand carved wax paper to make truth clarification flyers. One night when he and a fellow practitioner went out to post their messages on walls, messages such as "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," he was again {{illegally arrested]] by policeman Li Fengjun and taken to a detention center.

Mr. Ji launched hunger strikes several times in the detention center during a three month period of time. Then he was sentenced to five years in prison by Li Runxian and Wang Lihua of Aohan County Court.

Mr. Ji was subjected to more abuse and persecution in Chifeng Prison. Prison Education Section Head Song Wentao, Division Chief Zeng Fanwen, and Subdivision Chief Qian Youcun instigated criminal inmates to abuse him. For example, they forced him to squat down with both his hands held behind his head for five days and nights; over 10 inmates were ordered to take turns watching him, forbidding him from standing up or sleeping. Mr. Ji's legs and feet were tremendously swollen afterwards, and his socks were stuck to his feet and hard to remove. Prison police officer Liu Gang hit Mr. Ji's hands and head madly with a belt. The prison police also coerced Zhang Li and Zhang Ying, former practitioners who had been "transformed," to assist in the persecution of Mr. Ji.

On August 25, 2006, Mr. Ji was released. However, the local authorities sent him to the so-called Chifeng City Legal Education Base to try to "transform" him. Mr. Ji did not arrive home until August 28. Later, officers from Xinhui Town Police Station used residence registration as an excuse to force Mr. Ji to write a "guarantee letter."
