Ms. Xu Hui Tortured Until She Became Disabled
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Xu Hui, 60 years old, was retired from the Jiutai Pharmaceutical Company in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. She was sentenced to two years and tortured at the infamous Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, resulting in physical injuries. Those who tortured her include the director, Zhou Qin, captain of the 3rd ward Shi Yu, guard Ma Jishan, and nurse Chen Bing. Ms. Xu was released on August 3, 2009, after she had become disabled. She was diagnosed with peripheral nerve damage of the arms. Her blood pressure, blood vessels and excretory organs were also severely damaged.
Lawyers Accuse Liaoning Court of Breaking the Law
(Clearwisdom.net) At 9:30 a.m. on November 23 in Fengcheng, Liaoning Province, a court session was held to sentence four Falun Gong practitioners: Liang Yuncheng, Qu Shanlin, Wu Juan and Sun Zhongqin. Four lawyers came from Beijing and defended them for four hours. They pointed out that according to the laws related to freedom of speech and freedom of belief detailed in the Chinese Constitution, practicing and promoting Falun Gong are completely legal. Therefore, the Falun Gong practitioners had not broken any laws, and by bringing them to court and punishing them, the judicial system was breaching the Constitution.
