(Clearwisdom.net) The second evening performance of the Chinese New Year Splendor came to a successful close on January 31, 2008, at Radio City Music Hall. The evening combined performances by actors, dancers and musicians from Divine Performing Arts of New York, the Divine Performing Arts touring company, and the Divine Performing Arts Orchestra. The audience had consistently high praise for the show.
Issac, originally from Shanghai, was delighted by the show. "The performance was very good. The dances were powerful and were different from shows you see in Mainland China. The performers were very serious, the dancers energetic. It's not easy to stage such a large-scale show with so many people involved. All the programs are really good. Some are classical, others are more contemporary."
Isaac also said, "This show will have some impact for promoting Chinese culture, it's a good cause." He thought awhile and added, "I am a Christian. I came to watch the show without prejudice. I can accept all the content. The show is an artistic expression [of belief]. There should not be any conflict. People should have freedom of belief."

Peter Leung, an American-born production manager at Prestone Printing Company attended the show. Afterwards he said, "The show was excellent. As an American-born Chinese, I learned a great deal from it. I can see how Chinese people live their lives in the present and in history. The show is of high caliber. I have see popular music shows before, but they were much beneath this one. This show is truly high class, one with more cultural spirit."
Mr. Leung added, "My favorite act tonight was the one about Falun Gong. I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, but I have heard about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Communist government. This show demonstrated what the practitioners have been through, including the beatings. It conveys strong emotion, which I found very moving."
"The show contains high-level cultural content. It teaches people to treat each other peacefully and respect each other. Watching the show during the Chinese New Year makes me feel very good. It respects Chinese traditions. I really enjoyed the cultural spirit while celebrating the holiday," added Mr. Leung. "People in this country look at the world from an American point view. After watching this show, I gained an understanding of Chinese traditional values. It will have an impact on my future."
