Mr. Yan Weihong Very Weak and in Critical Condition at Urumqi No. 5 Prison; His Wife Forced to Leave Town

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of February 17, 2006, Mr. Yan Weihong from the Taiyu Residential Community in Urumqi City, Xinjiang, Uyghur Autonomous Region, was arrested by officials from the city's 610 Office and local police station. He was later sent to the Manas County State Security Division. He was heavily sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Yan is being held at the Urumqi No. 5 Prison. He has been on a hunger strike since the beginning of his detention and is very weak and in critical condition.

Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp Denies Family Visits for Ms. Zhang Lianying for Three Months; Unknown If She Is Alive

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying of Beijing was persecuted and "illegally detained" in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp. To protest, she started a hunger strike and refused to wear the labor camp uniform. Ever since April 2006, when Zhang Lianying was detained in the camp, the perpetrators in Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp exhausted all vicious methods to torture Zhang Lianying. Later, they transferred Ms. Zhang out of the Sixth Team and put her into the Collective Team. They isolated Ms. Zhang from other practitioners and subjected her to more severe persecution.

Zhang Xiurong Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners at Masanjia Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Xiurong is the 37-year-old female Captain of the Second Division at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was promoted to the position in 2000 for her ruthless brutality and effectiveness at brainwashing and "transforming" Falun Dafa practitioners. For her efforts, Zhang Xiurong received the provincial "Model Worker" award. For the past seven years, Zhang has focused all her efforts on persecuting Falun Gong. Along with officer Wang Naimin, she planned and executed a wicked plot to cast eight female practitioners into the male section of the prison. Her police I.D. number is 2108051. Zhang Xiurong is number 8,657 on the list of the perpetrators of the persecution posted on www.fawanghuihui.org.
