I had gone to Tiananmen Square to practice alone on February 26, 2000. I was arrested and my name and address were recorded at the Beijing Public Security Bureau. Later, I was extradited by our local hometown police, who then detained me for 45 days. On the fourth day after my release, I was again arrested, without any charge. This time, I was detained for 15 days. After a month, they then decided to illegally detain me for another 3 months, and asked me to pay a fine of several thousand yuan. They said it was a guarantee bond, and threatened that if I went to Beijing again within a year, they would not return my money. Two months later, they wanted to arrest me again under the excuse of handing out materials clarifying the true facts. I had no other choice but to leave home.
