I remember that not long after obtaining the Fa, I had a dream. Four years later, I can still recall the dream vividly appearing before me. However, my interpretation of the dream has changed.

The dream was set on a beach. Lots of people were gathering around a young man who was giving out small packets wrapped in cloth, about the size of my fist. When he handed me one, I asked, "Why are you giving it to me?" The young man turned around, pointed to an old man behind and said, "He asked me to give this to you. Once you have accepted it, you have to follow his instructions or else you will be punished!"

Without hesitation, I threw the packet away. "I am a cultivator of the Great Law. I cannot accept his things or what he says." The moment the packet left my hand, it exploded with a loud "bang." Crawling out from the packet was a large fierce looking alligator. With its mouth widely open, it started chasing people around. All the people started to run for their life. I was not a bit afraid. Behind us was a flight of rather slippery stairs leading to a platform. I quickly helped to push the people up and away from the beast. When I helped the last one up the stairs, a lady turned around and said, "Be quick, it is coming." Without turning back, I told myself in my heart, "I am a practitioner of the Great Law. Who would dare to harm me?" At this moment, I found the fearful looking alligator had shrunk to less than a foot in length, puffing for breath, and on the verge of dying. Picking a piece of rock beside me, I slammed it on the beast's head and killed it.

When I woke up, I realized that the Teacher was testing my understanding of the danger of practicing two cultivation ways at the same time. I am happy that I passed the test.

Reviewing the dream recently, I have come to understand better Teacher's teaching on Righteous Thoughts: When facing indestructible righteous thoughts towards the Truth of the cosmos, all evils will be self-destroyed.

To end this article, I would like to quote Teacher's words in "Also in a Few Words"-

The article "Good People" doesn't use a lot of words, but it illustrates an underlying principle. Indestructible righteous thoughts towards the cosmos' Truth form benevolent Dafa disciples' rock solid, Vajra Bodies; they frighten all evil, and the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward, out of the ordinary humanness.
