(Minghui.org) Greetings compassionate Master! Greetings, fellow practitioners!

I would like to share some of my cultivation insights with everyone. I hope this can serve as a mutual reminder so we all advance diligently together.

I’ve recently noticed some practitioners are attached to fame, self-interest, and emotion, and it's hard for them to pull away from these attachments. I feel sad and want to share my thoughts. I hope what I say plays a positive role and encourages others.

Cherish the Environment of Group Fa Study and Exercises

Some practitioners—including long-time veterans—stopped attending group Fa study. Some are busy with work, school, or family matters. Others say they’re too tied up with truth-clarification projects. Some have had conflicts with other practitioners and stopped attending out of resentment. Others feel they’ve practiced for years and no longer benefit much from talking about their cultivation experiences at group study.

These practitioners may not realize the seriousness of gradually pulling away from the cultivation environment. Even if they continue to study the Fa and do the exercises at home, I’ve noticed that many have started slacking off in cultivation. Some rarely do the three things. Others have grown increasingly attached to fame, gain, and sentiment, but they don’t realize it.

Conflicts between practitioners are arranged by Master to help us improve our xinxing. If we fail a test and let resentment or estrangement pull us away from group Fa study, aren’t we falling right into the old forces’ trap?

I dreamed that Master hid a model airplane behind the curtain before a Shen Yun performance. But we lost it. One Shen Yun artist stood weeping in front of the curtain and said, “The old forces are sabotaging the Fa-validation project by manipulating karma and predestined relationships among practitioners.” In Chinese, “model airplane” sounds like “mo xin fei ji”—“a vehicle for demonic mind interference.” Isn’t it through tempering our xinxing that we improve our cultivation? If we lose that chance and stay trapped in human conflicts, aren’t we cooperating with the old forces?

Some veteran practitioners say, “I already understand everything being shared at group study.” But I believe a true cultivator remains humble and has an open heart. If we haven’t yet finished our cultivation, we still have human attachments. Fellow practitioners—whether new or seasoned—may notice shortcomings we haven’t seen. Whether or not we can immediately accept their feedback, what they say can help us look inward.

In fact, I’ve often found that sharing from new practitioners inspires me the most. Their pure and diligent hearts upon first obtaining the Fa often move me deeply and encourage me to rekindle my own initial zeal for cultivation.

Cultivation Is Extremely Serious—It Is Not a Game

Master first began teaching the Fa in 1992, and many practitioners obtained the Fa before the persecution began in 1999. After July 20, 1999, these practitioners stepped forward to validate the Fa, clarify the truth about the persecution, and save sentient beings, demonstrating great courage and establishing mighty virtue.

But in recent years, some practitioners have relaxed. They feel the pressure of the persecution has lessened, and some who left China believe the dangers are removed. As a result, they started pursuing an ordinary life—they want successful careers, money, and emotional fulfillment.

They seem unaware that they’re slowly drifting farther from the Fa. If we neglect cultivating away our human attachments, those attachments grow stronger. By the time they’ve spiraled out of control, we may no longer resemble cultivators.

Why Do Some Attachments Seem Impossible to Eliminate?

Some practitioners often say, “I want to let go of this attachment, but I just can’t.” I believe this view is incorrect. If we truly want to remove an attachment, we can. The real issue is often that we don’t genuinely want to let it go. We may still be attached to the feelings it brings.

Master said, “Whereas what’s really at work, leading that person to want to do something, are factors behind the scenes, which are utilizing the person’s habits, attachments, notions, desires, and such things.” (“Dafa Disciples Must Study the Fa,” Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume XI)

Fellow practitioners, do you know what is the hidden forces are behind such feelings that manipulate us through our habits and attachments? Isn’t this the old forces’ interference? Aren’t they exploiting our weaknesses so we cannot succeed in cultivation?

What’s even more dangerous, some practitioners, due to their strong attachments and reluctance to let them go, twist the Fa principles to justify or protect their attachments. This is, seriously speaking, a form of deviant understanding.

This was a profound revelation for me. As cultivators, we must be honest and courageous in facing our attachments. We shouldn’t hide them or rationalize them. Instead, we must confront and eliminate them. Only then can we truly improve. If we instead seek loopholes in the Fa, we’re deceiving ourselves and blocking our own progress.

So how can we tell whether our understanding of a Fa principle is righteous or is covering an attachment? My experience is: if your understanding encourages you to keep the attachment, it’s likely a deviant interpretation. If it urges you to remove the attachment, it’s most likely correct.

Conclusion

Fellow practitioners, the Fa-rectification of the cosmos is concluding, and we are transitioning towards the Fa rectifying the human world. As many practitioners head toward completing our cultivation, let us treasure this sacred opportunity even more. Don’t lose your way at the final moment.

Cultivation is not easy, and the old forces’ traps are treacherous. If we cannot relinquish our strong human attachments, we may fail the final test—and lose this once-in-eternity chance. That would bring irreparable regret to ourselves and beings we are responsible for.

These are my personal cultivation insights. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
