Clarifying the Truth and Quitting the CCP Is Not a Business Deal

(Minghui.org) It’s been 26 years since the persecution of Falun Dafa started in 1999. Under Master’s guidance, practitioners have gone from perceptually understanding the Fa, to understanding it rationally. Clarifying the truth to save people is every practitioner’s responsibility. Countless negative elements have been eliminated as a result. Our cultivation journeys may one day become a glorious historic epic.

I’ve recently noticed something odd. Many practitioners in my area have chosen to give out gourd-shape key pendants instead of truth-clarifying flyers, pamphlets, orNine Commentaries on the Communist Partybooklets when they tell people about the persecution. They claim that it’s dangerous to carry Falun Dafa materials. However, there have been few instances of persecution here, and many people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and treat practitioners kindly. These practitioners’ excuse is exposing a strong notion that they don’t want to let go of.

The pendants are made of plastic, wood, or imitation jade that glows in the dark, and look quite beautiful. They cost about two yuan a piece to make. They are about 3 cm (1.2 in) tall and have the words “Falun Dafa hao, Zhen-Shan-Ren hao” (Falun Dafa is good, Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good) carved on them. The characters are very small and become blurred after a while.

A practitioner gave out a lot of these pendants at markets. She didn’t tell people the basic facts about the persecution and the reason millions of Chinese quit the CCP, but just handed out the pendants and told people that remembering “Falun Dafa is good” could keep them safe.

To get more of these attractive pendants, people repeatedly came to her to quit the CCP. One person told me that she already had several pendants, but wanted get another one if someone was distributing them.

We should have learned our lessons by now. In the past, some practitioners did not want to properly clarify the truth. Instead they felt that handing out amulets and lotus flower charms was the same as clarifying the truth and believed that those who accepted the gifts were being saved. They did not take truth clarification seriously.

Their human notions and actions not only wasted Dafa resources, but also prevented people from learning the truth. They encouraged people’s greed for petty bargains, which created trouble for those practitioners who properly clarify the truth. They tell practitioners who follow Minghui’s instructions and hand out Dafa pamphlets or laminated truth cards, “I will only quit the CCP if you give me something.”

Dafa cultivation is a serious matter. We should not turn the sacred mission of truth clarification into a cheap business deal.

Master told us:

“When every Assistant spreads Falun Dafa, he or she must be responsible to him or herself, be responsible to the students, be responsible to society, and be responsible to Dafa.” (“Preface,” Further Discussions on Falun Dafa)

Have we been responsible?

The demand for these pendants consequently increased. The practitioner who is in charge of making them for many counties turned his place into a processing plant. Practitioners gave him the money they saved to buy supplies to make materials with, causing other materials production sites to be short of funds.

When other practitioners told him that what he was doing could not save people, he argued that the pendants saved many, and he influenced other practitioners to think the same.

He placed more importance on making these pendants than truth clarification. The informational pamphlets should be what we use, to ensure that people truly understand the truth so that Master can save them. These practitioners let their human notions and emotions take control and created chaos.

Master said:

“It follows, then, that in all circumstances one should adhere to the standards for a practitioner, prioritize Dafa, and look at everything in light of the teachings.” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)
