Additional Persecution News from China – May 26, 2025 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Juping and Ms. Li Yuanhui Detained
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Rao Xiaoping Taken to the Brainwashing Center Right After Serving Time in Prison
3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Wenxiang Arrested
4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mingxia Arrested
5. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhong Tingju Tried in the Court
6. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
8. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Xiang Arrested
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Sifeng Admitted to Fanjiatai Prison

1. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Juping and Ms. Li Yuanhui Detained

Ms. Li Juping and her aunt Ms. Li Yuanhui, both from Zhuwangbao Town of Yongchang County, were arrested by officers from the Yongchang County Police Department on May 14, 2025. They have since been detained in the Yongchang County Detention Center.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Rao Xiaoping Taken to the Brainwashing Center Right After Serving Time in Prison

Ms. Rao Xiaoping (or Lao Xiaoping) was scheduled to be released on May 15, 2025, after finishing serving a 6 or 7-year prison term. However, because she refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong, the 610 Office had her taken to the Shiqiao Brainwashing Center in Jiang’an District.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Wenxiang Arrested

Mr. Dong Wenxiang was arrested by the Yi County Domestic Security Division officers on May 21 or 22, 2025.

4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mingxia Arrested

Mingxia (last name unknown), 68, was arrested at home by several officers in Gaoxin District on May 19, 2025. The police ransacked her home and confiscated one Falun Gong book, several copies of Minghui Weekly, a computer, and 1,000 yuan in cash. Mingxia was detained in the local police station overnight and released the next day.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhong Tingju Tried in the Court

Ms. Zhong Tingju from Kaizhou District, was tried by a local court on April 25, 2025.

6. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners were arrested on May 13, 2025, including Ms. Wang Xinxiang, Ding Yan, Zhang Zhenshan, Ms. Wang, and Ms. Peng. Three of them, including Ding, Zhang, and Ms. Wang, were released later that day. Ms. Wang Xinxiang is detained in the Meihe Women’s Reformatory.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners were arrested on May 10, 2025. Cheng Yan, the owner of Xiaoyan Hair Salon, was arrested by four officers from the Beijuzhai Police Station in Tiefeng District. The other six practitioners, including Hong Yinguang, Xing Yanliang, Gao Fuping, Zhang Liqun, Mr. Wang Liwei, and his wife Ms. Huang Minxian, were arrested by officers from the Tongdong Road Police Station. All practitioners’ homes were ransacked.

Mr. Wang and Ms. Huang were released on bail, after their family was extorted of 10,000 yuan by the police. Xing, Gao, and Zhang have also been released.

8. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Xiang Arrested

Ms. Chen Xiang, 80, was arrested by officers from the Pengjiaqiao Police Station on May 12, 2025. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book. Ms. Chen was injured during the arrest, which caused her severe pain all over her body and bruises on her arms.

Ms. Chen’s daughter received a harassing call from the Yuzhang Police Station on the afternoon of May 23, 2025, demanding that she work with the police to prevent her mother from practicing Falun Gong again.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Sifeng Admitted to Fanjiatai Prison

Mr. Zhang Sifeng, in his 70s, was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison by the Hanyang District Court in February 2025. He appealed with the Wuhan City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold the original verdict. He has been admitted to the Tenth Division, also known as the new admission division, of the Fanjiatai Prison. All Falun Gong practitioners who are detained at the Tenth Division are subjected to brainwashing designed to force them to renounce their faith.
