Bulgaria: People in Karlovo and Pazardzhik Support Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in Karlovo and Pazardzhik on Saturday June 7, 2025 to introduce Falun Dafa and raise awareness on the ongoing persecution in China.

Introducing Falun Dafa at the Rose Festival in Karlovo

Although Karlovo is not a big town, it’s special to Bulgarians because it’s the birthplace of Vasil Levski, who started the movement to liberate Bulgaria from Ottoman rule. It’s also home to one of the most colorful festivals in Bulgaria, the Rose Festival, which takes place every year in the Rose Valley.

Practitioners spoke to people about Falun Dafa at the Rose festival in Karlovo held on June 7, 2025.

Practitioners set up an information booth in the center of the town during the Rose festival this year.

People signed a petition to stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

A family from England stopped by the booth and asked if practitioners were advocating for the Uyghurs. The practitioner told them Falun Dafa practitioners were the first group to be victimized by forced organ harvesting before it spread to other minority groups. The family then signed the petition to call for an end to the persecution.

The Art of Zhen Shan Ren Exhibition in Pazardzhik

On the same day, practitioners displayed artworks from the Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition outdoors in Pazardzhik. Titled “Art… a great way to reach people’s hearts”, the event hopes to expose the persecution and inform local residents about the universal values taught by Falun Dafa – Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.

The paintings added radiance and beauty to the Regional History Museum building, with the city's iconic clock tower and the drama theater in the background. Flowers in full bloom in the surroundings added to a serene atmosphere, and many people stopped to admire the paintings. They approached practitioners to find out more about the persecution in China.

Practitioners held an art exhibition outdoors in Pazardzhik to raise awareness of the persecution in China.

An elderly couple stood for a long time and admired the paintings. They told practitioners that the CCP’s suppression of Falun Dafa reminded them of how the Bulgarian Communist Party persecuted Christians.

A practitioner told them how the CCP brutally tortures practitioners in China. The man said emotionally: “The Communist Party is killing God’s people!” The couple were very sympathetic to practitioners in China and took photos with the paintings. Before leaving, they wished the practitioners good luck.
