(Minghui.org) Many people became practitioners of Falun Dafa after reading the book Zhuan Falun and I’m one of them. I used to be a lost soul, until Falun Dafa saved me and forever changed my life. I’m from Johannesburg, South Africa and I’d like to share some of the amazing changes I’ve experienced through the practice.
Addicted to Alchemy at Lowest Point in Life
My life was a mess in 2014. I went through a divorce and lost my job as a music teacher. It was the lowest point of my life and l felt that I had no purpose.
I came across an occult practice online and became addicted to it, hoping that it would help me become immortal. I also started to practice alchemy, and tried to make crucibles to refine miracle medicine. After reading many books in these fields, I no longer believed in virtue, God, justice, and tradition. I worshiped myself and became selfish. I started to scam people for money.
Finding Zhuan Falun and Following Master’s Guidance
I visited Falun Dafa’s website after learning about the persecution in China. After reading Zhuan Falun and watching the online videos of Master Li’s lectures, I faced a dilemma: Should I give up my current practices and start to practice Falun Dafa? At that time, I just couldn’t give up my other practices.
Eight years later, I was praying one day and asked for a sign to show me how to become a great spiritual person. The next day I picked up Zhuan Falun and, as I was reading it, I saw much more meaning in the book than I had before. I understood that I came to this world because I had committed bad deeds. I also knew that if I didn’t change the way I lived, my soul would be destroyed.
Now that I think back, I realize that Master never gave up on me after I first read the book. He rescued me from these other practices. From that day on, I read Zhuan Falun every day, did the exercises, and also did the three things.
Illnesses Disappear
Before I read Zhuan Falun, I was recovering from food poisoning, and my digestive system continued to bleed even after I saw a doctor. After I read Zhuan Falun, the symptoms went away. Not only that, my addiction to pornography also disappeared.
One time, I felt that Master extracted a thick layer of black substance from me when I was reading the book. I felt instant comfort.
Another time, I saw Master pull a long black snake out of my forehead and crush it. From that day on, I had a feeling like being a little child again, and I knew I was returning to my true self.
Miracles Happen Around Me
People around me noticed my positive changes after I began to practice Falun Dafa. They smiled and greeted me when they walked past me on the street.
One day, my mother and I were out walking when some debris flicked up by a lawnmower shot into my eye with great force. My mother was terrified, expecting it to either destroy my eye or kill me. But the debris bounced off and I didn’t feel a thing! When I smiled at my mother, she couldn’t believe her eyes. I knew that a tremendous amount of karmic debt had just been paid off.
Another time, I sat on a chair and it suddenly collapsed. From the perspective of those around me, I hit the floor really hard. But to me, it felt like I was a feather slowly floating to the ground, and I didn’t even have a scratch. I got up and told everyone that I was fine.
Once, I saw Master guide me through various checkpoints. We got to one place, where I signed a document and took a vow. I knew that it was the vow I made before I came to this world. I will assist Master to save people and progress diligently in my practice. I thank Master for helping me find my way home.
