(Minghui.org) Various celebrations are held in Australia to welcome spring to the Southern Hemisphere. On Saturday, September 6 and October 18, 2025, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in festivals held in four districts in Sydney. Residents enthusiastically welcomed Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and praised the good it brings to the world.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises at their booth, and many people learned about Falun Dafa and took leaflets. Some said they were very interested in learning the practice and were told that local practitioners do the exercises every morning at Concord Plaza and offer free instruction.

St. Marys 50th Spring Festival Celebration

Event moderator Cassy Burgess introduced Falun Dafa and said it’s a peaceful practice whose guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and practitioners practice five slow-moving exercises. Practicing Falun Dafa brings one inner peace, balance, and physical health. “I believe that in modern life, we need this kind of tranquility and balance even more. Please enjoy their wonderful performance,” she said

Moderator Cassy praised the exercise demonstration and waist drum performance, and many people appreciated the peaceful exercises. Lauratta said, “I really enjoyed the exercise demonstration. They were fantastic! The children’s performances were also delightful. When I passed by a nearby park this morning, I heard the waist drum team rehearsing and was looking forward to seeing their performance.”
Granny Smith Festival at Eastwood
Practitioners were once again invited to participate in the Granny Smith Festival in Eastwood, northern Sydney, which celebrated its 40th anniversary on October 18. The event attracted over 90,000 spectators and featured a parade, rides, market stalls, food trucks, live performances, children’s activities, and a grand fireworks finale.

Although there were numerous teams in the parade, many people said the Tian Guo Marching Band stood out. Wherever they went, people warmly applauded them, and some took photos and videos.

Culture Vibes Festival in Randwick
Practitioners participated in the Culture Vibes Festival in Randwick, Sydney’s eastern suburb, on October 18. This brand-new festival aims to take visitors on a global journey. They can experience the rhythm of world music, enjoy a global food feast, and enjoy a variety of exciting activities.
Practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Dafa exercises, and many people said they were interested in learning how to practice.
Practitioners also performed graceful traditional Chinese dances on stage, which were well received by the audience.
