(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Dongmei Detained for Three Months and Counting
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Father and Daughter Detained, Grandfather Released
3. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Tried
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Jinjuan Detained
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiufen Appeals a Six-Year Wrongful Sentence
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Mu Yeping Arrested
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Lu Zheng Harassed
8. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ni Dongzhi Arrested
1. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Dongmei Detained for Three Months and Counting
Ms. Liu Dongmei of Miyun District was arrested and detained at the end of September 2024. Her family has not heard any update about her case since. Her husband, who is completely incapacitated and relied on her for care, is now cared for by his 80-year-old mother.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Father and Daughter Detained, Grandfather Released
Mr. Yin Hongwei and his daughter, Ms. Yin Li, of Hulan District, were arrested by Gongyuan Road Police Station officers when they were about to go to work on the morning of December 19, 2024. Their shared home was ransacked. They are now held in the Hulan Detention Center.
Mr. Yin’s father was also arrested but was released later.
3. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Tried
Mr. Zhao Yuming, Mr. Wang Yuguo, and Ms. Ji Xiangshou were tried by the Dong District Court on the morning of December 26, 2024.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Jinjuan Detained
Ms. Jiang Jinjuan was arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers on December 18, 2024, by Chengguan Police Station officers. She is being held in a detention center.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiufen Appeals a Six-Year Wrongful Sentence
Ms. Zhang Xiufen was sentenced to six years in prison by the Fengtai District Court in early December 2024. The authorities attempted to take her into custody on December 10, 2024, and she was denied admission due to her high blood pressure. She was taken back home by Qingta Police Station officers. She has also appealed the verdict and is now awaiting the result.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Mu Yeping Arrested
Ms. Mu Yeping, of Shuangcheng District, was arrested at home on December 19, 2024, by Xinxing Township Police Station officers. She was taken to the police station for interrogation and released in the afternoon.
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Lu Zheng Harassed
Ms. Lu Zheng of Lujiazui Community was recently harassed at home by the police. The officers photographed her against her will.
8. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ni Dongzhi Arrested
Ms. Ni Dongzhi, of Huangmei County, was arrested by Konglong Town Police Station officers on the afternoon of November 25, 2024, after someone reported her putting up posters with the words “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Benevolence- Forbearance is good.” She was taken to the Huangmei County Police Department. The officers forced her to fingerprint her case document and released her shortly after.
