(Minghui.org) In the past, I always envied the environment practitioners outside of China enjoy, thinking that if we went overseas, our cultivation path would be easier because practitioners could help and encourage each other all the time. But I have now realized that my early thinking was based on human notions, and I have now understood the seriousness of Fa-rectification cultivation and the importance of truly cultivating. No matter how good a cultivation environment might be, we must truly and solidly cultivate our xinxing, because no one else can do it for us.
Cultivation requires one to bear hardships. That’s why we must cultivate in the human world. Even for ordinary people, if they want to accomplish something big, they have to endure hardships and overcome difficulties. If a person who is loaded with karma and human sentiments wants to become a divine being, but thinks that he or she can succeed while still being able to enjoy comfort and pleasure based on a selfish ego, they are delusional.
The community of Dafa disciples is a cultivation entity, not a club for ordinary people who are after superficial happiness and enjoyment. Cultivation means that we always remember that we are cultivators when we encounter conflicts and tribulations, that we always maintain firm belief in Master and Dafa, and that we are able to constantly look inward and let go of our human attachments and desires as we elevate in the Fa. Only by doing so can we succeed in cultivation.
Although, unlike China, there is no intense pressure or danger of being illegally arrested and imprisoned in a relatively relaxed and free overseas environment, the tests in cultivation and the standards for Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period are equally strict, and in some situations, the requirements may be even stricter. And no one is exempt.
Those who have lacked righteous faith for a long time and have not truly cultivated their xinxing may end up being “sand” to be eliminated by the old forces. For those who are controlled by evil due to their strong human attachments and who have gone astray to the point of participating in slandering Dafa and destroying sentient beings, it is unimaginable how terrible their fate might be.
Over the years, forced labor camps and prisons in China have tried to “transform” practitioners with the help of “highly educated people” and “experts.” Many practitioners became confused by their fallacies, because, after being brainwashed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), people in China, including many practitioners, misunderstood the traditional saying: “The worth of all pursuits is small when compared with good scholarship.” They look up to “gifted scholars, good-looking ladies” and “intellectual elites,” thinking that only those who are well-educated can “bring glory to their ancestors” and that they are the “sensible” people.
Such human notions and sentiments were taken advantage of by the evil to undermine the Fa, and most of those who have gone astray or “transformed” of their own accord or are being used to “transform” others are often such “elites.” They were intentionally “picked” by the evil in other dimensions.
However, for genuine Dafa disciples who have been through more than 20 years of brutal persecution, especially those who have maintained an indestructible and righteous faith in Master and Dafa through solid cultivation, all that slander is ridiculous, pathetic, and pitiful. Those things that are based on foolish human sentiments and attachments can no longer interfere with such Dafa disciples.
Why is it that there are always those who disrupt the Fa and vent their dissatisfaction and resentment, creating incidents to disrupt and undermine the Fa? What do the old forces that control them try to achieve? Personally, I think they try to target those who have not had true faith in Dafa for a long time and have not cultivated seriously.
I once heard from a practitioner who went overseas that many young practitioners working in the media run by Dafa practitioners had not studied the Fa or done the exercises for a long time, and they had a shallow understanding of cultivation. They seldom read articles on the Minghui website. She said that it was not an isolated situation, and some of them struggled in conflicts with others for a long time, and when they came across big tests and tribulations, instead of looking within to cultivate themselves, they started to doubt and resent Master.
If they have not studied the Fa or done the exercises for a long time and have no idea how to cultivate, they may not be able to view conflicts and tribulations from the perspective of cultivation and even less will they be able to look inward. When jealousy, resentment, or complaints emerge in conflicts, they may not see that these are not their true self, nor can they realize that these are actually good opportunities for them to look inward, to let go of those attachments, and to elevate in cultivation.
If they regard such “suffering” as a personal injustice, then they will fall and miss the precious opportunities to fundamentally change themselves. At the same time, their karma cannot be eliminated either, and their attachments to jealousy, resentment, and hatred may be strengthened and amplified by the evil. It will be increasingly difficult for them to take control of themselves.
Cultivation is very serious and waits for no one. When a person starts to cultivate, Master changes and re-arranges his or her life path. If they fail to pass a test in cultivation, they will be tested again. If they keep failing and do not cultivate themselves solidly based on the Fa, and when difficulties and karma keep accumulating, it will be very difficult to overcome them. In the end, they may give up on cultivation and fall completely. There have been many such cases.
When these people get in contact with those who disrupt the Fa and those who have gone astray with warped thoughts, they are very likely to be deceived and completely go against Dafa and do all kinds of things that undermine the Fa and destroy sentient beings. The old forces and the evil that aim to destroy sentient beings will also try their best to get such people in contact with one another.
When they have committed such crimes, they will lose their only divine opportunity to be saved. If they realize one day what they have done and face the countless sentient beings they have destroyed and the enormous sinful crimes they have committed, as well as the vow they had made with their life earlier, just imagine how much pain and misery they would be in! It’s truly pitiful!
It is indeed very dangerous if one fails to truly cultivate oneself. We Dafa disciples both in China and abroad should remind each other: Never regard doing things as cultivation. In validating the Fa and clarifying the truth, we must study the Fa calmly and study the Fa often. No matter how busy we are, we must study the Fa, memorize the Fa, and keep the Fa in our hearts at all times. We should take the Fa as our guidance in dealing with everything and everyone we come across, and truly focus on cultivating our xinxing. We should let go of all kinds of human attachments, such as jealousy and resentment. Only then can we avoid the path of destruction arranged by the old forces.
If we do not let go of our human attachments and complain about fellow practitioners or even ordinary people, the evil old forces will keep hounding us, eventually taking control and making us blame Master and Dafa. Wouldn’t we then be heading for destruction?
I suggest that all Dafa disciples, both in China and abroad, do not watch or listen to those fallacies created by those who are disrupting the Fa. If we follow them, at the very least we would increase their click rate on the human level. On a higher level, it is no different than adding energy to the evil entities, making them more enthusiastic about doing bad things. We would also be polluting ourselves. We must not give them any room at all. At the same time, we should send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil spirits that control them to do bad things so irrationally.
