(Minghui.org) At least eleven Jilin City, Jilin Province residents have been arrested since 2021 for their shared faith in Falun Gong, and their families have been kept in the dark as to their whereabouts or case status.
Mr. Yang Wenguang and his wife, Ms. Huo Yun, were arrested at around 8 a.m. on May 16, 2021. They are reportedly being held in certain prisons but there has been no confirmation.
Mr. Ding Jian and his wife, Ms. Hu Shuqing, were arrested around mid-January 2022. Their home was ransacked.
Mr. Bian Hongxiang, in his 70s, was arrested on July 14, 2022.
Ms. Ding Hairong, then 62, was arrested on May 6, 2023. Her family was initially told she was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center, but there has been no update since.
Ms. Jiang Ruihua, Ms. Wu Shunhua, Ms. Xia Guihua, Ms. Xu Min, and Ms. Lyu Shuzhen were all arrested on June 4, 2023. They were taken to the Jilin City Detention Center but there has been no word about their current whereabouts or case status.
